As a long-time admirer of Todd Snyder’s design sensibilities and his unique ability to blend Americana with modern elegance, I am thrilled to see him return to the New York Fashion Week calendar after an absence of almost five years! His upcoming show in September promises to be an intimate, salon-style event that will showcase a collection inspired by coastal living and military references.
As a longtime fashion enthusiast and someone who has attended numerous New York Fashion Week shows over the years, I am thrilled to hear that Todd Snyder will be back on the official calendar this September. It has been almost five years since his last show in New York City, and I have missed his unique take on American style. As a designer who blends classic silhouettes with modern sensibilities, Snyder’s return to the fashion capital is a welcome addition to the week-long event. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this time around, and I am looking forward to being there to witness it firsthand.
Previously, Snyder was last seen in New York City around February 2020, right before the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, he’s had a significant hiatus from the runway, focusing more on reorganizing his business and reducing its reliance on wholesale operations.
In January, Todd Snyder made a comeback as a guest designer at Pitti Uomo in Florence, an event he described as a “memorable experience for me and the brand.” He went on to say that this was his largest show yet, featuring 80 looks – 50 from his own collection and 30 from Woolrich Black Label. After this, he rediscovered his creative spark and once again found enthusiasm for fashion shows.
Speaking as an American designer, he found it fitting to come back to New York for his return. His upcoming show, set for September 8 at 3:30 p.m. ET, will be a more modest affair compared to his Italian extravaganza. Snyder intends to present an intimate, salon-style runway show at Le Rock in Rockefeller Center, inviting approximately 50 guests.
The collection will include “a mix, so expect to see military references, coastal living pieces. It’ll be a juxtaposition of tailoring infused with other influences,” he said. The location ties into the theme, too, he revealed.
