2025’s Tomorrowland main stage caught fire on a Wednesday, causing significant damage, but the electronic music festival is still set to continue as planned without cancellation, and will return to its regular programming.
Yesterday, just one day before Tomorrowland was set to begin on Thursday, videos showing the main stage ablaze started appearing online. The festival’s official website and Instagram page issued a statement about the “serious incident” and fire, explaining that the much-adored Mainstage had sustained significant damage as a result.
Regardless of the damage caused, it was announced that Tomorrowland, located in Belgium, had no injuries reported following the fire and intended to go ahead with its opening as scheduled on Thursday.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that DreamVille opens tomorrow, July 17th, just like we planned! It’s all set for our fellow DreamVille visitors. And let me tell you, all Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp are go as scheduled. For the festival weekend (Friday through Sunday), we’re working diligently to ensure everything runs smoothly.
The post ended with, “We’ll share additional details and updates as quickly as we can.
As a music enthusiast, I can’t wait for my upcoming adventure at Tomorrowland! Kicking off on Thursday, the opening day promises a selection of EDM acts. The festival continues through Sunday, with an array of artists set to perform. Interestingly, this is just the first week of the festival; the second week begins on July 24 and concludes on July 27. I’m really looking forward to it!
