Topgolf Callaway Brands is pressing forward with plans to operate separately, aiming to expand their influence in the Middle East. Among the countries they’re considering, Saudi Arabia stands out due to its strong backing of golf, notably through the LIV tour, Aramco Team Series, and other initiatives.
Under the new arrangement, Topgolf intends to construct and manage a total of five facilities by 2028, with potential expansion to two more later on. These facilities will blend target shooting, fun games, dining, and drinks. Golf Saudi Entertainment, a company that supports various professional golfers and tournaments, will oversee the ownership and operation of these venues.
Ben Sharpe, Callaway’s Managing Director and President in EMEA, expressed enthusiasm about expanding into another Middle Eastern market, specifically Saudi Arabia, with three locations. He mentioned that they have teamed up with Golf Saudi as a robust partner to introduce their contemporary golf brands – Topgolf, Toptracer, Callaway Golf, Odyssey, Ogio, and TravisMathew – to the region, with the goal of assisting in turning Saudi Arabia into an outstanding golfing nation.
