Embracing the ongoing resurgence of ’80s style in automotive design, Toyota is bringing back the essence of the past while incorporating modern elements for a fresh take on the 2026 Corolla Hatchback FX Edition. This exclusive model is a tribute to the cherished FX16, with only 1,600 units planned for release in the U.S. Set to debut this fall, the FX Edition offers bold styling, sporty enhancements, and a salute to Toyota’s rich racing legacy.

The FX Edition, equipped with SE trim, boasts distinctive features such as a black vented sport wing, classic-style rear emblems, and stylish 18-inch glossy white alloy wheels that blend retro charm with contemporary flair. Powering this model is a 2L four-cylinder engine producing 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque, offering an estimated fuel efficiency of up to 33 MPG combined.

Indoors, you’ll find sleek black Sport Touring seats with suede inserts, enhanced by striking orange stitching. This lively theme is carried over to the door panels, steering wheel, and shift boot. As a standard feature, it offers a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a wireless charging pad.

The FX Edition is accessible in colors like Ice Cap, Inferno, and Blue Crush Metallic. It boasts Toyota’s 8-inch Audio Multimedia system, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as voice commands triggered by “Hey Toyota.” Moreover, it offers additional connected services such as Wi-Fi Connect, Remote Connect, Safety Connect, and Service Connect, all coming with initial trials.

Pricing will be announced later this year ahead of the FX Edition’s arrival in dealerships.
