Tracy Morgan’s Paramount+ Comedy ‘Crutch’ Adds Trio to Cast (Exclusive)

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the addition of Adrian Martinez, Braxton Paul, and Finn Maloney to Tracy Morgan’s spinoff of “The Neighborhood” on Paramount+ has me more than just a little excited.

The Tracy Morgan-led spinoff of The Neighborhood at Paramount+ continues to add to its cast.

Actor trio, Adrian Martinez, Braxton Paul, and Finn Maloney, have recently joined the cast of the TV show “Crutch.” This series centers around Morgan’s character, Francois Crutchfield (or simply Crutch), a shop owner from Harlem who is also the cousin of Calvin Butler from “The Neighborhood” portrayed by Cedric the Entertainer. The story unfolds when Crutch’s adult children decide to move back in with him, causing disruption in his life. Alongside Morgan, the cast includes Jermaine Fowler and Adrianna Mitchell as Crutch’s children, and Kecia Lewis as his sister-in-law.

In the TV show “Stumptown” on ABC, Martinez (from the series “Unfrosted”) will reappear as Flaco, who is Crutch’s best friend from childhood, closest confidant, and manager of his flooring shop. Flaco is a cheerful, positive, and talkative character, providing a contrast to Crutch’s more serious demeanor.

Paul and Maloney will additionally play recurring characters, namely Lisa and Mase, who are children of Jamilah (Mitchell) and grandchildren of Crutch. Twelve-year-old Lisa acts as the moral compass within the family, encouraging her kin to act righteously while still dealing with the ups and downs of being a preteen. Mase, aged 9, is inquisitive and cunning, often filling the role of default sidekick for whoever is responsible for his supervision.

In May, Paramount+ commissioned a new series titled “Crutch” to air. Similar to “The Neighborhood,” which kicks off its seventh season on CBS in October, the show hails from CBS Studios. Owen Smith, who previously collaborated with Morgan on TBS’ “The Last O.G.”, developed the series and will take on the role of showrunner. Alongside Smith, Cedric the Entertainer and Eric C. Rhone of A Bird and a Bear Entertainment, Morgan, as well as Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment and Wendi Trilling of TrillTV, will serve as executive producers for this new production.
