Trapstar x Ed Hardy Connects London to Harlem

As a streetwear enthusiast who’s been around the block a few times, I can confidently say that the Trapstar x Ed Hardy collaboration is a match made in fashion heaven! Growing up in the rough and tumble streets of Harlem, I remember seeing those bold Ed Hardy designs on the backs of local tough guys, while my London counterparts were rocking that raw energy only Trapstar could deliver.

The first joint effort between Trapstar and Ed Hardy demonstrates that strong fundamental ties can make both long-distance relationships and collaborations thrive. Sharing a dedication to inject genuine, powerful energy into streetwear fashion, these brands have combined their creative forces to produce a collection that bridges the distance separating their respective headquarters.

This collection, born in London with Trapstar and in Harlem with Ed Hardy, reflects the vibrant spirit of these two cities. The lookbook is spearheaded by UK artists Nemzzz and Bloody Dior, who were photographed exclusively in London and Harlem.

Distinctive items in this collection are the Dragon Windbreaker and Denim Suit. The windbreaker showcases a vibrant gradient red color, adorned with a large dragon emblem that wraps around its entire back. Ed Hardy’s unique style, characterized by bold graphics, is evident throughout the entire collection, extending to classic waffle-knit t-shirts as well.

In another location, a Bomber Jacket treated with an Enzyme process adopts a more simplistic design, characterized by its sleek black outline. The jacket’s texture adds depth, particularly on the back where it showcases embroidered branding in elegant cursive script that sits above a crouching tiger image.
