Loot everything!
As a passionate farmer, I strongly advise you not to overlook the abundance of items available in your farming environment. Scouring through overflowing trash bins and even old TVs may yield unexpected treasures. It’s always better to accumulate more items than to find yourself lacking later on. These items are crucial for enhancing your Tension Cards, so you’ll eventually need a considerable number of them.
2 Don’t be upset about having to try again and again
As a gamer, let me tell you, the first time I fought the final boss in chapter 1, it was an instant game over for me. I’ve got to admit, it took the wind right out of my sails! I’m guessing I’m not alone in this struggle, and that encounter with the boss served as a harsh reminder: Tribe Nine isn’t a walk in the park; this gacha game ain’t for the faint-hearted!
As a gamer, I can’t stress enough how crucial it is to brace yourself for numerous deaths until you fully understand the game’s mechanics. The action-packed fights are relentless and require constant vigilance – whether it’s defending against an adversary or striking at the opportune moment.
In Tribe Nine, the key is not primarily about acquiring superior characters as in many other games, but rather honing your skills through repeated battles. This might seem surprising, given that most gacha games emphasize character acquisition. Instead, what makes Tribe Nine unique is its focus on skill development.
In every conflict you encounter, strive to gain insights and perfect the abilities of your chosen character. Over time, you’ll discover that overcoming opponents becomes significantly less challenging.
3 Consider spending some time finding all the graffiti
In the PvE-exploration segment, you might have observed that you can engage with nearly everything in your surroundings. You can demolish boxes, rummage through trash cans, and even unlock enigmatic chests. What makes it even more exciting is that you can also stumble upon graffiti scattered across all the chapters. Each chapter has a specific number of these graffitis, and every time you find one, you’ll be given an Enigma Entity as a reward.
As a fellow gamer, I’d recommend you to savor the moment after wrapping up a chapter by delving deeper into each nook and cranny. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden graffiti, and don’t forget to collect enough Enigma Entities to fuel a couple of your much-needed gacha summons!
4 Pick the right Tension Cards based on your play style
In Tribe Nine, instead of a conventional gear system, they’ve introduced something unique called the Tension Card system. These cards serve as your equipment, offering special advantages based on the tension level you achieve during battles (measured by a gauge). You can have up to five of these cards equipped at once, and it’s advisable to read through them all before using them.
Initially, you’ll find yourself with some beginner items, but after using the gacha a couple of times, you’ll be granted access to additional ones. In the gacha, not only do you draw characters, but also Tension Cards. So, whenever you get something appealing, make sure to use it by equipping it.
Be mindful when selecting Terms and Conditions (TCs) for use, as some may only activate under specific conditions, like achieving EX Tension. If it’s unlikely that you’ll ever reach this state, it might be wiser not to utilize cards that grant bonuses upon reaching EX. Keep in mind these intricate details as they can significantly simplify your battles!
5 Invest in the characters you enjoy the most
You can assemble a group consisting of up to 3 characters. It’s not mandatory to include Yo Kuronaka in your team, so feel free to explore other options before making any immediate decisions about him. However, if you find him appealing, by all means, go ahead and invest in him! I encourage you to thoroughly examine each character, even referring to the tier list I’ve provided, to familiarize yourself with their unique playstyles.
Consider whether you prefer characters who engage in close combat (melee) or those who attack from a distance (ranged), and select the one that suits you best. As you can only control one character at a time, it’s advisable to become proficient with a single character you enjoy using, as they will help guide you through the different stages. Learn the optimal movement strategies for various types of enemies, as well as the ideal order in which to use their skills. After mastering these aspects, invest your resources in leveling up your chosen character.
To advance and elevate your game characters, you’ll require substantial resources, and farming is an essential part of this process. Therefore, be cautious before making decisions to prevent any potential future regret.
6 Save your Enigma Entity for a gacha you like
In this game, the primary currency is called Enigma Entity, and it’s essential for using the gacha system. If you’ve begun by following the tier list and have rerolled a few times, that’s fantastic! Once you’ve done that, you should start accumulating your Enigma Entity, as more characters will be introduced into the game. Whenever a new character is added that you genuinely wish to obtain, you’ll require a substantial amount of Enigma Entity.
Instead of maxing out a character immediately after initial gacha or reroll pulls, consider hoarding your EEs instead. You can proceed through the early stages without fully maximizing any one character. Accumulate more EEs over time and then, when you have enough, try a 10x summon.
7 Hold on to your wallet
In Tribe Nine, unlike many other games, success isn’t dependent on how much money you spend. Rather, it’s about honing your skills and dedicating time to improve. Money cannot purchase these qualities. While there are certain items available for purchase, the game is incredibly friendly towards free-to-play enthusiasts.
