Tribe Nine reveals player feedback from recently-concluded Deadly Playtest

  • Upcoming ARPG Tribe Nine has unveiled the results of its Deadly Playtest
  • It includes a whole bunch of numbers and statistics, for those invested
  • But it also mentions some negative feedback, that the devs hope to address ahead of launch

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation for Tribe Nine, the upcoming ARPG from the creators behind Danganronpa. Having played countless games and witnessed the evolution of mobile gaming, it’s always refreshing to see a game that dares to stand out from the crowd, even if it means treading familiar territory.

In a recent update, action role-playing game Tribe Nine has shared insights from player feedback and developer responses following their first major playtest, affectionately known as the Deadly Playtest. This communication details what players appreciated, what left them wanting more, and areas for potential improvement in the highly anticipated title. Notably, this game is being developed by some of the masterminds behind the Danganronpa series.

The developer’s letter contains a multitude of detailed statistics, focusing primarily on win percentages, team configurations, and so forth. This might be intriguing for those who enjoy number analysis, but what caught my attention were some constructive criticisms. These comments pointed out concerns about the game’s tempo, its ease level, and dissatisfaction with the core extreme baseball mechanic as the central aspect of the game.

Currently, I need to make things clear: This isn’t exactly praiseworthy, and it might not be the most critical feedback the game has ever received. However, it’s still somewhat reassuring to observe a game acknowledge such issues. Whether they can address these issues before the launch is yet another question altogether.

Among numerous similar game titles, Tribe Nine truly catches my eye due to its unique identity. Although Danganronpa’s influence might be evident in some aspects, it offers a breath of fresh air, contrasting the art styles found in many other mobile games currently available. Particularly those that seem to lean towards the theme of artificial intelligence, which is quite common these days.
