Trio of Tom Green Projects Get Dates at Prime Video

Prime Video will become a Green space — as in Tom Green — in late January.

Later this month, the streaming platform owned by Amazon will premiere three distinct projects starring the comedian and 1990s MTV celebrity. These include a stand-up comedy special, a documentary film directed by him (which he also stars in), and an unscripted series chronicling his life on a 100-acre farm in Ontario. Last year, these projects were revealed as part of Prime Video’s Canadian content lineup, meaning they will be accessible to all Prime subscribers worldwide.

On January 24th, the documentary titled “This Is the Tom Green Documentary” will make its debut. This film will delve into Green’s early life and the beginnings of his comedy career in Canada, then move on to his rise to fame through MTV in the mid-’90s and early 2000s, along with the various controversies that came with it. The story concludes with Green’s return to Canada where he now resides on a farm.

Currently, Tom Green’s everyday life, which features a 1,500-pound mule, a donkey, and six chickens on a farm, is the focus of the upcoming unscripted show titled “Tom Green Country“, set to air on Jan 31. Prior to that, another premiere will take place – it’s a stand-up special named “Tom Green: I Got a Mule!” recorded during his recent North American tour.

In this production, Tom Green oversaw all three projects as the director and executive producer through his company, Tom Green Productions Canada. Collaborating with him was Rory Rosegarten. The team at Matador Content’s Boat Rocker, specifically Jack Turner and Leah Gonzalez Culton, were in charge of producing “This Is the Tom Green Documentary“.
