As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I must say that Triptii Dimri has truly captivated my heart with her exceptional performances. Her journey from Poster Boys to Animal is nothing short of inspiring. The way she stepped out of her comfort zone for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal and embraced the challenging role of Zoya speaks volumes about her courage and dedication as an actress.

At the India Today Conclave 2024, Triptii Dimri openly discussed her reasons for joining Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Animal. Triptii confessed that she dislikes remaining in her familiar surroundings, a feeling she experienced while working on movies like Bulbbul (2020) and Qala (2022).
In contrast to her past roles, Triptii felt invigorated on the sets of Bad Newz, but she found the character of Animal particularly demanding compared to her recent projects. It’s crucial for her to take on roles that test her acting abilities.
Whenever I land a role, it feels both daunting and exhilarating. That exact sensation washed over me when Sandeep sir described Zoya’s character to me. She appeared to be both courageous and pure, which intrigued me immensely. I am always on the hunt for roles that provide something fresh and unique, Triptii expressed at the event.
During the same gathering, Triptii Dimri was given the option to pick either Ranbir Kapoor or Vicky Kaushal as her late-night confidant. Triptii opted for Vicky Kaushal, her co-star from Bad Newz, implying that they have a close relationship.
Previously, in an interview with TopMob in 2023, Triptii Dimri discussed the recognition she received following the release of Animal the previous year. She described this as a “wonderful sensation,” revealing that the film’s lead actress was showered with affection from the audience and found it particularly meaningful to receive such acknowledgement. The actress went on to explain that her phone was incessantly ringing at the time, and she spent many sleepless nights reading through all the messages.
In 2017, Triptii Dimri launched her acting career by appearing alongside Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Shreyas Talpade in the film Poster Boys. Later, she shared the screen with Avinash Tiwary in Imtiaz Ali’s production titled Laila Majnu, which didn’t perform well during its initial release. However, the 2018 movie was re-introduced to cinemas this year. Among her other works are films like Bulbbul, Qala, and Bad Newz.
Triptii is currently preparing for director Raaj Shaandilyaa’s upcoming video titled “Vicky and Vidya’s One and Only.” Joining Rajkummar Rao in this project, they will portray a 90s married couple on screen. At the moment, the crew of Shaandilyaa’s film is actively promoting it. The comedy movie is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024, and it will compete with Alia Bhatt’s film “Jigra” at the box office.
Actress from Bad Newz has multiple upcoming films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Dhadak 2, and Aashiqui 3 slated for release in the future.
In Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Animal”, Ranbir Kapoor took on two roles: Ranvijay Singh and Aziz Haque. Rashmika Mandanna was chosen to portray his wife, Geetanjali Iyengar Singh. Triptii Dimri plays Zoya, who is sent as a trap by Abrar to ensnare Ranbir’s character, Ranvijay.
2023’s action-packed drama featured Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Prem Chopra, and Saurabh Sachdeva among its cast.
