As a longtime fan of Troye Sivan and his unique blend of music, style, and self-expression, I am absolutely thrilled to see him fronting Gap’s Fall 2024 campaign, “Get Loose.” The fact that he’s rocking classic Gap fashion while dancing in a way that echoes his signature moves from his music videos is just the cherry on top.
In the Fall 2024 advertising venture titled “Get Loose,” Gap has enlisted Troye Sivan. The singer showcases traditional Gap attire, adorning basic denim and cotton garments against a sparse setting. For his initial appearance, he dons an all-brown ensemble comprising the 90’s Loose Cargo Jeans coupled with the Heavyweight Zip Hoodie and Corduroy Jacket. In another look, mirrored in a dance video, Sivan embraces a timeless aesthetic by sporting the white Gap Casual Tee and dark-washed Baggy Jeans.
In this new promotional video, Sivan and the CDK Company are seen grooving in outfits from Gap, set to Thundercat’s track “Funny Thing”. The footage, expertly captured by Dan Martensen, highlights Sivan’s distinctive dance moves reminiscent of those seen in his music videos for “Rush” and “Got Me Started”, where he collaborated with the same dance company. This Gap dance video serves as a sequel to Tyla’s viral campaign for the brand that featured her dancing to Jungle’s hit song “Back On 74”.
Troye Sivan expressed, “Participating in the Gap campaign and sporting their jeans feels remarkably suited for me. Dancing is now a vital aspect in my life, offering me self-assurance and an enduring sense of stylishness.” He’s proud to be associated with something that represents such natural style and individual expression.
In the upcoming autumn season, Mark Breitbard, the head of Gap, expressed that we’ll be honoring their 55-year legacy in denim by offering a line of relaxed styles that encourage individuality. The latest campaign starring Troye Sivan brilliantly encapsulates this era’s mood with its confident vibe, emphasizing the flexibility and style of our denim, transforming fashion into an enjoyable performance.
The Fall 2024 denim assortment from Gap is now up for grabs, both in physical retail locations and online. Take a peek at their latest “Get Loose” promotional video, which you can find below.
