Trump Jr. & Bitcoin Mining

The world, it seems, is on the precipice of utter financial lunacy 🤪. Just as one might expect from a nation where the very concept of a “reality TV star” president was once deemed inconceivable, America’s foray into the world of cryptocurrency mining has taken a decidedly… peculiar turn.

American Bitcoin Corp., a venture seemingly cobbled together with the intellectual rigor of a drunken bar wager, has announced its intention to go public. And who, you might ask, are the esteemed financiers behind this audacious endeavor? Why, none other than the sons of the former Commander-in-Chief himself!

Eric and Donald Trump Jr., those paragons of business acumen and financial literacy 🏆, have apparently seen the light and decided to invest their considerable talents in the fickle world of Bitcoin. Their vessel of choice? American Bitcoin Corp., a company formed in conjunction with Hut 8 Corp., a public crypto-mining company that seems to have developed a rather unhealthy obsession with “American Data Centers Inc.” (a company, coincidentally enough, also backed by the aforementioned Trumpian scions).

Hut 8, in its infinite wisdom, has apparently decided to transfer all of its mining equipment to this new venture, leaving itself to focus on the decidedly less glamorous world of data centers. The goal, according to Asher Genoot, the CEO of Hut 8, is to form an integrated firm with “strong economics.” Whether this entity will prove more profitable than a pyramid scheme run by a pack of chimps remains to be seen.

Of course, the timing of this venture couldn’t be more auspicious. The Bitcoin mining industry is currently experiencing a downturn, with increasing competition and volatile prices. Yet, undeterred by these minor inconveniences, Eric Trump boldly proclaims that American Bitcoin Corp. will become “the greatest Bitcoin mining company on earth.” One can only hope that, in his boundless optimism, he hasn’t forgotten to factor in the possibility that Bitcoin itself might just become worthless.

After all, who needs a sound business plan when you have the Trump name behind you?
