Tulsa King Star Reveals Why the Mysterious Bomb Scene Was Left Unexplained

In the popular Paramount+ series, there’s been a significant scene or plot point that hasn’t received any resolution, leaving fans speculating if the creative team might have inadvertently overlooked providing an explanation. Yet, one of the show’s actors has hinted that this unresolved aspect could deliberately be part of the narrative structure.

According to Taste of Country, actor Neal McDonough (playing Malcolm Beck) has discussed an unresolved plot point from Season 2, Episode 9. In one instance, Kayce Dutton planted a remote-controlled bomb in the fuel tank of the Beck Brothers’ plane, but neither the bomb nor this event was ever brought up again. As per McDonough, creator Taylor Sheridan may have included this scene as a misdirection to keep viewers guessing about what would happen subsequently.

McDonough responded, “That’s an intriguing query. I believe it boils down to Taylor enjoying keeping the viewers on tenterhooks. By doing so, he can introduce unexpected elements into the plot. For instance, who would have thought shooting his brother in a bathroom was part of the plan?

He stated, “He might as well have staged my demise in a open field surrounded by two individuals pondering morality and ethical behavior, rather than taking the straightforward route of ending it on the spot. Yet, he chose not to do so.

It’s quite plausible that the bomb sequence was intentionally crafted as a misdirection for the viewers. Yet, some enthusiasts might find this explanation unsatisfying. This could be one reason why it was incorporated from an insider perspective. Nevertheless, within the storyline context, fans are still left puzzling over the fate of the bomb.

The Story Moves Forward

Regardless of how things have unfolded so far, the narrative continues to progress. Following the completion of its second season starring McDonough, the series is currently producing its third season. Sylvester Stallone has hinted at what’s coming up in Season 3 with a stylish appearance on set. It seems that in this upcoming season, Stallone will portray FBI Special Agent Musso, a character with unresolved issues, potentially causing trouble for The General.

I’ve long admired Sly’s work, and I can’t contain my enthusiasm at being included in such a talented ensemble and outstanding performance.

The show “Tulsa King” can be streamed on Paramount+, but as of now, there’s no confirmed date for the third season’s debut.
