TV Academy’s Inaugural Televerse Fest Will Include Henry Winkler Acting Class, ‘Bones’ Reunion and Hall of Fame Inductions

The Master Classes led by Emmy-winning actor Henry Winkler and Emmy-nominated writer/producer Beau Willimon, a 20th anniversary reunion of the cast and creators of “Bones”, as well as the induction of Winkler, Viola Davis, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and, posthumously, Don Mischer into the Television Academy Hall of Fame, will be featured events at the TV Academy’s first ever Televerse Festival.

The upcoming event, slated for August 14-16 at the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE, is set to offer a special sneak preview of the upcoming Peacock limited series “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy,” as well as a panel discussion involving the Los Angeles Dodgers’ television broadcast team.

As a dedicated fan of Bones, I’m thrilled to announce that for the series’ 20th anniversary, the creator/showrunner Hart Hanson along with Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, T.J. Thyne, and Tamara Taylor will gather to reminisce about the incredible 12-season journey of this beloved procedural show. Peacock and UCP are organizing an advance viewing event for the upcoming limited drama series titled “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy“, scheduled to air fall 2025. This series delves into the dark recesses of Gacy’s life, intertwining poignant tales of his victims, investigating the sorrow, remorse, and trauma experienced by their loved ones; revealing the systemic flaws, missed chances, and societal biases that enabled his reign of terror. FYC Round 2 Panels

For the first time, Emmy voters will be granted an opportunity to attend “For Your Consideration” discussions, endorsed by the Television Academy, focusing on Emmy-nominated series and actors from significant categories before making their decisions during the final stage of Emmy voting.

Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The Academy will conclude the premiere Televerse festival by inducting six prominent figures in television history into the 27th Hall of Fame on August 16, Saturday evening. These individuals – Davis, Mischer, Murphy, O’Brien, Post and Winkler – will be recognized for their remarkable impact on the development of television.
