As a long-time gamer who’s also been keeping an eye on the K-Pop world, I must admit that seeing Dahyun of Twice make her runway debut for Michael Kors during NYFW was a moment that felt like leveling up in real life! It’s fascinating to see how these talented artists are breaking barriers and making their mark not just in music but also in the fashion industry.
Twice‘s Dahyun has officially made her runway debut.
As a die-hard gamer, I couldn’t help but feel starstruck when I strutted down the catwalk at Michael Kors’ Spring Summer 2025 runway show during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday. You might recognize me from Twice, the globally famous K-Pop group. Guess what? I’m not just a member of this sensation, but also a global ambassador for the brand! It was an unforgettable experience.
Prior to the commencement of the show, Michael Kors hinted on social media about a remarkable guest joining the runway, suggesting it might be Dahyun’s unexpected debut. Later, the brand officially announced her participation in the event.
On the catwalk, a 26-year-old showcased a stylish outfit: a tan off-the-shoulder mini dress featuring a full skirt and a big belt to match. She accessorized with open-toed footwear and a handbag in the same color.
A multitude of celebrities graced the runway at the NYFW event, such as Mindy Kaling, Lindsay Lohan, Mary J. Blige, Kerry Washington, Suki Waterhouse, Chloe Fineman, Nina Dobrev, AnnaSophia Robb, Olivia Wilde, Shailene Woodley, Sutton Foster, Lisa Rinna, and Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee.
Last year, Dahyun was chosen to be an ambassador for the Michael Kors brand, following a long-standing connection between them. More recently, she appeared in a Michael Kors advertisement for fall, marking her third collaboration with the brand.
The artist made her first appearance as a member of the JYP Entertainment-backed K-pop group Twice in 2015. Since then, Twice, often referred to as Korea’s top girl group, has dominated Korean music charts and the Billboard 200, performed sold-out concerts worldwide, expanded into individual solo projects and subgroups for its members, and secured personal fashion endorsements over the past few years.
Last week, Twice member Tzuyu released her first solo EP abouTZU. Tzuyu told The Hollywood Reporter: “I hope my songs and my stage performances provide some sort of help and energy to our fans all around the world.”
Notably, several fellow K-Pop artists such as Felix, Lee Know (of the band Stray Kids), and Blackpink’s Jisoo have been seen at New York Fashion Week along with Dahyun.
