Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have been happily married for more than 24 years. They are proud parents to two children, Aarav and Nitara. Even though they’ve been together for so long, they have different political views. In her typical wit, Twinkle Khanna recently countered accusations about their differing political ideologies, asserting that Akshay Kumar is not a “toddler” who needs to be guided by her opinions.
In a recent article for The Times of India, Twinkle Khanna admitted that she and her husband Akshay Kumar hold distinct political views. However, in true Twinkle fashion, she humorously emphasized the importance of recognizing that each of them is an individual, with their own unique political ideologies.
In a recent interview, Twinkle openly admitted that she has a shell-like reaction to questions about her celebrity status, humorously referring to herself as an “oyster” when it comes to dealing with annoying inquiries. When asked about the term “star-wife,” she joked that she would rather bite the reporter’s index finger than answer the question, but in reality, she emphasized that a title like “star-wife” doesn’t exist. Furthermore, she often faces questions regarding her and her husband Akshay Kumar’s differing political viewpoints, which she handles gracefully.
Frequently, questions and accusations about our contrasting political opinions come my way. It’s as if some think he isn’t my spouse but a young child who follows directions like, ‘Sweetheart, remember to walk on the left side of the road, and I’ll treat you to an Frooti.'” (She wrote)
In a previous conversation with Galatta India, the actor from Sky Force mentioned his relationship with his spouse. He stated, “My wife and I are quite opposite. Total opposites. She tends to think logically on the left side, while I lean towards the right. The only thing we have in common is that we both enjoy waking up early and getting a good night’s sleep.” Additionally, he noted that they share a pastime of playing Rummy or Ludo together.
However, the actor emphasized that not everyone needs to share all 36 specific qualities, but the trait of respect holds equal significance as any other respect-related trait within a relationship.
Or, more casually:
The actor pointed out that people don’t have to be identical in their 36 traits, but showing respect is just as vital as any other form of respect in a partnership.
On the job front, Akshay is basking in the success of his latest film, Sky Force, co-starring Veer Pahariya. Moving forward, he has an enticing array of upcoming projects which include Welcome To The Jungle, Jolly LLB 3, Bhooth Bangla, and Housefull 5.
