Twinkle Khanna told Akshay Kumar to eat ‘poisonous grass' if she dies, Khel Khel Mein actor’s response is every husband ever

As a long-time admirer and observer of the dynamic duo, Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, I must say their unique brand of humor and wit never fails to entertain. The anecdote about their banter over consuming poisonous grass is just another testament to their extraordinary chemistry and playful relationship.

In a straightforward and engaging manner: Twinkle Khanna, affectionately known as Mrs Funnybone, lives up to her nickname without question. Not only her, but her husband, actor Akshay Kumar, holds the title of ‘Comedy King’ without contest. In her latest article for Times of India, she shared an amusing incident involving Akshay where he was advised to consume harmful grass if she were to pass away, and his response is not to be missed!

As they were heading back to their campsite after their vacation, the 50-year-old was sharing a story from their trip with Twinkle and Akshay. Their guide coincidentally mentioned an intriguing bird species known as ‘tik-tik.’ Remarkably, these birds exhibit a unique trait – they are incredibly devoted to each other. When one of them dies, the surviving partner will often eat toxic plants.

In response to what he heard, Twinkle swiftly warned Akshay Kumar, “Well, if I pass away before you, I expect you to consume harmful plants as well. If ever I catch your second wife using my handbags, rest assured, I’ll return to haunt both of you.” Akshay, the actor from Sarfira, couldn’t resist a jest and retorted, “I’d love to eat that poisonous grass immediately, at least then I wouldn’t have to endure all this foolishness anymore.”

In recognition of her talent, Khanna concluded her article with a heartfelt remark, expressing that she and Akshay further developed a ‘dance of collaboration, love, and understanding’ before arriving at their shared destination.

Twinkle, who once tried but failed to make it big in show business, has now earned a Master’s degree in Writing Fiction from Goldsmiths University, London. Her debut non-fictional work, Mrs Funnybones, was published in 2015, followed by the release of The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, a compilation of short stories.

In 2018, Twinkle published her third book, “Pyjamas Are Forgiving,” which became the top-selling book among Indian female authors that year. Her success continued with the release of her fourth book, “Welcome to Paradise,” in 2023.

Instead of Akshay Kumar, you’ll find him appearing in the film “Khel Khel Mein” in the near future. This film is penned and directed by Mudassar Aziz. The star-studded cast includes Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal in significant roles. Mark your calendars for August 15, 2024, as this comedy flick is set to hit theaters then.
