As a longtime gamer and Star Wars enthusiast, I must admit that my excitement for Star Wars Outlaws was palpable when I decided to splurge on the Ultimate Edition, eager to dive into the game’s criminal underworld early. However, the recent update fiasco has left me feeling like a space-faring Han Solo who just walked into a trap.
In less than a day, the highly-anticipated game “Star Wars Outlaws” will officially launch, and numerous players have already immersed themselves in its intricately designed criminal underworld thanks to the game’s Gold and Ultimate Editions.
Spending around $110 for a game may sound overpriced to some, but having early access to Outlaws and being able to continue through seems like a good deal for paying players.
As a gamer on PS5, I’ve been experiencing some serious trouble with this game due to constant updates. If I don’t start anew, there’s a risk these updates could lead to game-halting glitches.
Those using the PlayStation 5 to play “Star Wars Outlaws” found themselves trapped in space following an update to the latest version. At present, the only known solution to this glitch is another game update from Ubisoft, though this may necessitate PS5 players who have already spent at least $110 on early access to start from scratch again. This step might seem contradictory to what Ubisoft terms as “early access.”
As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve grown accustomed to the occasional hiccups that come with pre-ordering games from big-name developers like Ubisoft. However, the recent situation surrounding their latest title has left me feeling quite disillusioned and frustrated.
As reported by GamesRadar, players impacted by this situation will be given an in-game Trailblazer trinket and 100 Ubisoft Connect Units as reimbursement. Those who have invested countless hours and days into the game may need to start over prior to launch, but they’ll receive the mentioned rewards instead.
Regardless, whether players must start anew is contingent upon them. Yet, given the circumstances, it appears they are left with little option. If they don’t, their gaming journey might deteriorate as they persist with their existing game progress.
The players must determine if a Trailblazer item within the game, along with 100 Ubisoft Connect Points, offered by Ubisoft for an additional cost of at least $40, is a valuable purchase.
