Uchronia Creates Maximalist Interiors for Koibird’s London Boutique

In interior design, we often see soft colors and authentic or fake natural materials dominating spaces, making it hard to tell one room apart from another. To create a unique look, introducing a touch of maximalism can be very effective, as demonstrated by Uchronia in their remodel of Koibird’s London boutique.

As soon as you step into Koibird’s store, you’re instantly swept away into its unique universe. The store’s design incorporates the brand’s color scheme across the floors and walls, while a large shelving structure mimics the “K” from their logo. Regardless of your personal style preference – whether you lean towards maximalism or minimalism – you can’t deny that Koibird has managed to craft an engaging environment.

Scattered throughout the shop, vibrant shades of green, pink, and purple harmoniously merge. Silver focal points add emphasis: a silver orb at the store’s center, and a room towards the back, tiled in silver, displays homeware. A unique seating area, draped in silver fabric, boasts a futuristic design that seamlessly complements the overall interior concept.

In his explanation, Julien Sebban, founder of Uchronia, highlights that by choosing eco-friendly artisan materials thoughtfully, the floor features an exclusive hand-painted enameled lava stone specifically tailored to fit the site’s requirements.

The walls showcase a gradient of colors transitioning from purple to green, mirroring the distinctive tones associated with KOIBIRD. This color scheme contributes to an enveloping ambiance. The counter is crafted from repurposed materials, while the seating boasts a metallic finish. In this way, KOIBIRD invites its guests to experience a singular world, merging purity and modernism.

“With the redesign, we aim to engage all the senses,” adds Koibird founder Belma Gaudio.
