As a gamer, I’m totally stoked about the new gaming-inspired clothing line from UNIQLO, which is rolling out their first Pablo Picasso collection! One of the unique pieces from this collection will be part of their “GAMERS UNITE FOR CHARITY” project, where a portion of the proceeds goes towards promoting peace worldwide.
In their initial joint effort, they’ve designed a series of five t-shirts that celebrate various Picasso artworks. The standout piece among these is a tribute to the 1958 lithograph “The Flowers of Peace,” which Picasso made for a peace rally in Stockholm. This masterpiece is prominently displayed on the shirt as its full image. Profits from this project are earmarked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The remaining pieces in the UT collection feature:
– A 1937 portrait titled “Portrait de Marie-Thérèse Walter“, with her likeness on its back and details at the left chest,
– The lithograph of his linear “Dove of Peace” from 1945,
– And a painting of “Femme au chapeau” from 1935.
Have a look at the tees up there! The Uniqlo UT collaboration with Pablo Picasso is due for release in early March, exclusively through Uniqlo.
