Unleash Your Inner Ghostbuster in Oblivion Remastered’s Spookiest Side Quest!

Last month, Bethesda Game Studios unveiled an updated version of one of its legendary titles – “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” from 2006. This remastered edition gives players a chance to relive the classic game with fresh visuals and gameplay. Players have jumped back in, revisiting memorable missions like the “Where Spirits Have Lease” quest.

The adventure stands out as it grants players a unique chance to rid a manor of a curse by battling a genuine spirit. The entire narrative is engaging and fulfills dreams of becoming a Ghostbuster. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered began with a robust launch, swiftly ranking as the third highest-selling game of the year in terms of copies purchased.

This quest in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered allows players to acquire a cursed manor

In the town of Anvil, whispers circulate about Velwyn Benirus offering his estate, Benirus Manor, for 5,000 septims. Interested parties can locate Velwyn at The Count’s Arms inn. By completing some transactions there, players will receive the manor deed and a key to the main entrance. At first glance, it appears to be an attractive proposition; however, upon moving in, players soon realize that the manor is plagued by ghostly inhabitants. These spirits become apparent as soon as players attempt to rest within the manor. Fortunately, they can be swiftly vanquished using a silver or superior weapon.

1) Following their descent, players will stumble upon a note labeled “Scrap from Lorgren’s Diary” and a skeletal hand. This note hints at a hidden door within the manor, which can only be opened by a true-blooded Benirus. At this juncture, players should retrace their steps to The Count’s Arms, where they will learn from patrons that Velwyn Benirus has returned to the Imperial City.

You’ll find Velwyn Benirus at The King and Queen Tavern, nestled within the Elven Gardens District. Following a series of conversations, Velwyn Benirus may consent to rejoin you in Anvil to help break the curse. Yet, it’s crucial to note that this option won’t be available if your relationship with him is below 60 points.

Players will have to fight a ghost to lift the curse

Once more, Velwyn Benirus is expected at The Count’s Arms. After that, you’ll need to track him down to Benirus Manor. Along the way, you’ll come across additional spirits, but defeating them won’t prove too challenging. As you delve deeper, Velwyn Benirus will unlock a Locked Portal and make his escape. At this point, you should proceed inside and locate Lorgren’s Altar. The previously discovered hand can be used to activate the skeleton there.

Afterward, Lorgren engages in combat with the player, and defeating him releases the curse. You can choose to keep or sell Lorgren’s staff and the Tome of Unlife that you find there. Once the quest is over, the manor’s interior will be restored, and the lighting will return to its original state. The quest concludes when players encounter Velwyn Benirus at The Count’s Arms.

In a short span of time, “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered” has gained immense popularity worldwide. Interestingly, it managed to sell more copies during its debut week than the original version did in its first 15 months on the market. This enhanced edition offers an exhilarating gaming experience that enthusiasts can enjoy until the next “Elder Scrolls” game arrives.
