UTA Hires Hip Hop Agents Zach Iser and Caroline Yim

On Tuesday, it was announced that UTA has brought on board Caroline Yim and Zach Iser, well-known booking agents in the hip hop scene, as partners within their agency. These individuals join UTA following their previous roles as heads of hip hop and R&B at WME.

It’s unclear which (if any) clients will be transitioning with Yim and Iser to UTA, although they have represented Doechii, Jhene Aiko, Future, Anderson .Paak, and other notable artists in the past. Notably, some of UTA’s most prominent acts include Bad Bunny, Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera, Guns N’ Roses, and the Jonas Brothers.

David Kramer, president of UTA, has always been impressed by how Zach and Caroline cultivate and advance the careers of musicians. We’re overjoyed to have them join UTA, as they bring their expertise in hip-hop and R&B. Yim and Iser transferred to UTA following their employment at WME in 2021. This change took place approximately three months after the departure of hip hop division heads Kevin Shivers, James Rubin, and Christina Baxter from WME to Wasserman in January. Notably, UTA showcased a significant presence at Coachella during Weekend One recently, with 21 acts represented. Wasserman emerged as the top representative overall at Coachella with 32 acts, while CAA managed all three headliners.

In recent times, UTA has grown significantly, most notably by purchasing the European soccer agency ROOF, which operates under Klutch Sport’s umbrella last year. The agency has now appointed David Kramer as its CEO, replacing co-founder Jeremy Zimmer who will transition to the position of Executive Chairman.
