As a dedicated gamer, I’m totally hooked into the thrilling narrative of Eternal Night Falls being the main theme for Marvel Rivals Season 01. But even with such an engaging storyline, it’s clear that the developers at NetEase haven’t missed out on the holiday spirit. They’ve cleverly crafted some exciting in-game events to make these special days even more enjoyable!
Despite Valentine’s Day not traditionally featuring comic book characters, Marvel Rivals has unveiled an engaging wedding package for its popular duo, Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
A Love Story for the Ages
Fresh off the press, Marvel Rivals unveils ‘Life Fantastic’ outfits for Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. Here is the official announcement: [Link]
The design of their characters originates from the comic “Fantastic Four: The Wedding Special,” released in 2005. Sue Storm maintains her usual attractive appearance, but fans have pointed out that Reed Richards now sports a clean-shaven look, more similar to his classic depiction in the comics.
It’s additionally pleasant that the developers provided Reed with a suit for the wedding since, in the comics, he married Sue while wearing his Fantastic Four uniform, much like the other superheroes who attended the ceremony wore their costumes too.
Regarding costumes, it appears no modifications have been made; however, if the trailer is accurate, their ultimate abilities could trigger a melody of wedding bells.
In addition, they each possess distinct wedding-themed emoticons. Reed gazes at his engagement ring, while Sue inhales the fragrance from her bridal bouquet. Moreover, it appears they share a joint MVP moment featuring the two of them enjoying a shared wedding cake.
Human Torch and the Thing

As a gamer, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my time in the game since Season 1 kicked off, with Reed and Sue stealing the show so far. But let me tell you, there’s more excitement on the horizon! The second half of the Fantastic Four is set to make their grand entrance later this month. You might know them as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, and the Thing, who happens to be Ben Grimm under the hood. Can’t wait to team up with these iconic characters!
Although neither Johnny nor Ben’s roles have been formally announced, rumors suggest that Torch is likely to be a duelist character, while The Thing seems destined to play as a vanguard.
As a thrilled fan, I can’t wait to see Johnny zipping across the map, igniting firestorms that leave a trail of destruction on foes, while The Thing stands tall, soaking up damage with his iconic rocky powerset, and delivering crushing blows to the enemy squad.
As a gaming fan, I’ve noticed that each superhero in the Fantastic Four has unique abilities to team up with others, such as the Thing being capable of chucking Wolverine around. However, what really gets the fans hyped is the thought of the Fantastic Four having their own special team-up power.
It’s clear that having four members on one team will result in a balanced setup, with two duelists, a vanguard, and a strategist. I’m hoping NetEase has come up with some bonus or advantage for forming a full team of four, rather than the standard two-member teams.
The enchanting costumes from Life Fantastic, designed for the Invisible Woman and Reed Richards, will be featured in Marvel Rivals starting on Valentine’s Day. Now, you can start playing this exciting game on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, or PC.
