As a dedicated VALORANT fan with years of experience following and supporting my favorite teams in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), I can’t help but feel a pang of envy whenever I see League of Legends Worlds champions receiving their unique, iconic skins. It’s an honor that adds to their legacy and serves as a testament to their skills and achievements.
To put it another way, Riot Games has linked the competitive histories of its games, League of Legends and VALORANT, through distinct methods. Nevertheless, the top-tier players in both games receive recognition within their respective titles.
In the League of Legends competition, champions’ victories result in exclusive skins for their preferred champions being awarded to them. On the other hand, VALORANT champions earn money through crowdfunded bundles that players can purchase, and their team activations are discounted to boost sales and income.
Despite VALORANT having impressive teams, their players express jealousy towards League of Legends’ Champion skins and demand recognition with superior accolades.
VALORANT fans eye a LoL-esque Champions-winners skins
The Champions 2024 skin set is rumored to share many similarities with past skins, featuring gold accents bathed in white and purple hues that exude a sense of regality, yet may feel repetitive after seeing the same design for the last three years.
Fans are urging for a shift, expressing their desire for an alternate champions’ trophy to add excitement.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve seen fans suggesting ideas on Twitter about enhancing the Value Counterstrike (VCT) bundle. One fan proposed an intriguing suggestion: “Why not introduce a new variant for the VCT bundle once the tournament concludes? They could design it based on the triumphant team’s colors and logo.”
As a dedicated and passionate VALORANT player with years of experience under my belt, I strongly believe that champions who emerge victorious in the Valorant Champions event deserve a special recognition for their achievements. Just like League of Legends awards winning teams with exclusive skins after they triumph at the World Championship, VALORANT should follow suit and grant its own champions this honor. This not only adds an extra layer of excitement to the competition but also serves as a symbol of pride and accomplishment for these talented players.

One supporter echoed my sentiment, stating, “I truly enjoy that proposal.” Some other viewers proposed alternative suggestions, yet they all paid tribute to the yearly Champions’ victors.
Another fan expressed their preference for distinct Champions skin variants representing each world champion’s team. They suggested having a purple and white version of the Vandal in 2021’s Acend championship, complete with the Acend logo on the finisher. Similarly, they proposed a purple and black Phantom Vandal in 2023 for EG and Loud.
Based on the latest leaks, it’s expected that the Champions 2024 package will be unveiled soon as the premier event is set to kick off in August.
