As a gamer who has been following Vanderpump Rules since its inception, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing about James Kennedy‘s arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence. On one hand, it’s disheartening to see someone I’ve watched grow on the show over the years find himself in such a difficult situation. On the other, it’s all too familiar – the cycle of drama and chaos that seems to follow this reality series like a shadow.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Kennedy, a cast member on Vanderpump Rules, has been taken into custody for an alleged incident involving domestic violence.
On Tuesday evening, the Burbank Police Department responded to a residence in the area following a report of an altercation between James Kennedy Georgiou, a man, and a woman. Georgiou was taken into custody for domestic violence charges classified as misdemeanors. After meeting the required bail conditions, he was subsequently released from custody.
On December 10, 2024, at approximately 11:30 pm, the Burbank Police Department received a call about a dispute between a man and a woman at a private residence. Upon investigation, it was classified as a domestic incident, resulting in Mr. Georgiou’s arrest. He was taken into custody for misdemeanor domestic violence charges, posted bail, and now awaits formal charges, which are currently being reviewed by the Burbank City Attorney’s office.
Though the name of the woman involved has yet to be released, Kennedy has been dating Ally Lewber since 2022. The pair were reportedly at a party hosted at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton’s home that same night.
THR has reached out to Kennedy’s rep and Bravo, but the latter declined to comment.
Kennedy became part of the primary cast during the second season of “Vanderpump Rules,” contributing significantly to its continued success over an impressive 11-season run. This Bravo series revolves around the staff members at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants and bars in Los Angeles, showcasing their professional lives and personal relationships as they unfold.
Kennedy appeared alongside Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, and Tom Sandoval on the show. But recently, it was disclosed that they would all be leaving before the planned reboot of Vanderpump Rules, which will feature a completely new cast for season 12.
In his farewell message on the show last month, the reality TV personality said, “I can’t hide it, my eyes are brimming with unshed tears as I write this. It’s been a joy being part of Vanderpump Rules for the past decade, and I’ve loved sharing our lives with you all on your screens. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this show, and I’m deeply thankful to everyone who watches. My dreams have finally come true this year – I played at Neon Carnival, EDS, Stagecoach, and I have a Vegas residency, and it’s all thanks to you.
