As a gamer who’s had my fair share of virtual skateboarding sessions, I must say, Vans Skateboarding’s latest Skate Classics Collection has truly caught my eye (or should I say foot?). The blend of nostalgia and modern technology in these shoes is just mind-blowing.
As a passionate skater, I’m totally stoked about Vans’ latest tribute to skate legends! Their Skate Classics Collection is not just paying homage to skating greats, but also sparking the imagination of a new generation. The lineup includes updated versions of two legendary shoes: the Skate Half Cab and Skate Rowley. I can’t wait to add these iconic kicks to my collection!
The Skate Half Cab, launched in 1992, honors the legacy of Steve Caballero within skateboarding community, while the Skate Rowley, debuted in 1999, highlights Geoff Rowley’s influence with its sleek, vulcanized design. Both shoes have been upgraded using Vans’ advanced technologies, such as PopCush insoles for enhanced comfort, Duracap reinforcements for increased durability, and SickStick soles for excellent traction.
The color scheme of this collection blends black, purple, and vivid hot pink highlights, resulting in a daring and lively overall look. This eye-catching mix mirrors the vibrant essence of skateboarding subculture. Accompanying footwear is an assortment of clothing items such as hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, hats, and socks. To mark the debut, Caballero and Rowley have collaborated with nine emerging skaters, among them Pedro Delfino who will feature his own brown Skate Half Cab colorway.
Starting from August 8, you can find the Skate Classics Collection on Vans’ main site. On August 15, a unique color scheme by Delfino will also be launched.
