Varun Dhawan recalls Samantha 'collapsing' on Citadel: Honey Bunny sets; reveals oxygen tank coming for her as she told him ‘It’s one of those days’

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience observing and analyzing the lives of celebrities, I must say that Varun Dhawan’s recent admiration for his Citadel: Honey Bunny co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a testament to their unparalleled dedication towards their craft.

The film “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has been winning over fans since its premiere. Notably, Varun Dhawan recently praised Samantha’s dedication to her work, sharing an experience where she was battling myositis. He remembered a time when she suddenly fell ill on set and required an oxygen tank for assistance.

In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Varun Dhawan praised his fellow actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu from their project Citadel: Honey Bunny for her unwavering dedication. He shared two incidents to support his claim, expressing that he felt a genuine emotional drop during the filming.

The actor mentioned that on a particular day during filming in broad daylight, Samantha Ruth Prabhu closed her eyes and remarked it was just an ordinary day. However, Samantha didn’t reveal much about her health situation. They continued shooting for approximately two hours, and eventually, an oxygen tank was brought on set while she used the tank to revive herself.

As an ardent admirer, let me share my admiration for this remarkable actress. Instead of taking a well-deserved break, she opted to work tirelessly, showcasing her unwavering dedication. To further illustrate, during our shoot in Serbia at the bustling railway station, she chased after me with an energy that left me awestruck.

In a tense moment, the actor from “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” recounted how he had sprinted past the camera, with the actress still visible in the shot, before she suddenly fell. He then explained that he picked up the actress and informed their director, Raj, to stop filming. However, Raj reassured him that they were taking care of the actress and asked him to stay composed. He was then told to step aside by the director.

He expressed his confusion about what action to take, and Director Raj Nidimoru, who was nearby, recalled that day. On that day, the actress had been in distress due to pain, but despite having her support team with her, she carried out her duty by completing the final shot of the scene.

The Indian spin-off of Citadel, titled “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” is a production that originates from an adaptation of the American series, starring Priyanka Chopra. Directed by Raj & DK, this series includes Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majumdar in the main roles.

Developed by Sita R. Menon, the series is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
