Vedang Raina reveals his reaction to watching BTS video of Ranbir Kapoor singing in Rockstar; 'Kuch nahi, negative'

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for detail and a heart for the arts, I must confess that my admiration for Ranbir Kapoor’s acting prowess has always been unwavering. The way he brought the character of Rockstar to life was nothing short of mesmerizing, leaving many, including myself, in awe of his performance. However, like Vedang Raina, I too found my perception slightly altered after witnessing the behind-the-scenes footage of his lip-syncing.

The iconic portrayal of Ranbir Kapoor as a singer in Rockstar continues to be admired by fans for his impressive acting skills. His lip-syncing in the film appeared so authentic that many assumed he could truly sing. However, opinions changed when a video showing his lip-syncing behind the scenes became viral. Similar to other actors like Vedang Raina who look up to Ranbir, Vedang confessed that his initial impressions of Ranbir’s talent were altered after watching the video. In a recent interview, Vedang expressed his feelings by saying “Well, it was not positive.

In a conversation with Lallantop, Vedang revealed that he was inspired by Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Rockstar to pursue singing. He expressed, “I’ve always admired Ranbir and his lip-syncing skills. So, I was curious if he could really sing or not. Rockstar is my favorite film, so I wanted to see if BTS were actually singing.

Vedang expressed his appreciation for Ranbir Kapoor’s talent in lip-syncing, noting that he has long admired how skillfully Ranbir executes it. He also mentioned his intrigue, particularly since Rockstar is his favorite movie, prompting him to explore the behind-the-scenes footage to discover if Ranbir truly sings.

He remarked, “I was about to say he seemed like a singer, with some sort of tune in my mind, but it turned out to be incorrect. So, I told him that I wouldn’t attempt to match his pitch, I would just focus on the performance instead.

In simpler terms, Vedang realized, even though he thought Ranbir might possess a good pitch due to his singing background, they didn’t quite match up. This experience taught him to concentrate more on delivering a solid performance overall, instead of just trying to match pitches.

Regarding Kapoor’s career, his next venture is titled “Love and War,” a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In this project, he will be joined on screen by Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Previous reports from TopMob indicated that the movie’s production started in the first week of October 2024, with Alia expected to join the set in December.

In addition to his current roles, Kapoor is expected to make an appearance in the first part of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. This highly anticipated production boasts a stellar cast including Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol. Furthermore, Animal Park is among the upcoming projects on his agenda.
