As a dedicated follower and admirer of Vicky Kaushal‘s career trajectory, I am consistently amazed by his growth and success in the Hindi film industry. His journey from being an assistant director to a leading actor is truly inspiring, and it’s fascinating to see how he has managed to maintain such a strong connection with his roots.
Vicky Kaushal, most recently seen in Anand Tiwari’s film “Bad Newz,” has been a fixture in the Hindi film industry for over ten years now. He began his journey in cinema as an assistant director under Anurag Kashyap during the Gangs of Wasseypur series in 2012. Coincidentally, that same year marked his acting debut in Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi’s film “Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.” Interestingly, Vicky confided that he seeks advice on films from his father, action director Sham Kaushal, before consulting his wife, actress Katrina Kaif.
In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Vicky Kaushal disclosed that there is someone in his family who offers precise data regarding box office performances and assists him in selecting movies for his acting career.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve been encouraged by my loved ones to trust my inner voice and heed my instincts when selecting movie scripts. After all, following one’s heart often leads to the most fulfilling decisions!
Regarding script matters, the Bad Newz actor mentioned, “Initially, I’d consult my father (Sham Kaushal) and later Katrina (Kaif). For insights on the film’s performance at the box office, though, I wait until its release to seek my dad’s advice.”
The 36-year-old actor went on to discuss how his dad, Sham, always keeps tabs on the movie industry’s earnings at the box office. He mentioned that whenever Sham shares some box office figures with him, the Sam Bahadur actor is taken aback and responds by expressing his surprise, stating he wasn’t aware the film had performed so well.
In his professional career, Vicky Kaushal has been featured in films such as Masaan, Sanju, The Warrior, Zara Hat Ke Zara Bach Ke, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Sardar Udham, and Raazi. He made a short appearance alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in the 2023 movie Dunki.
In Vicky’s most recent film titled “Bad Newz,” both Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk played prominent roles. This movie premiered on July 19th.
Currently, the actor is preparing for an upcoming movie titled “Chhava.” In this film, he will portray the character of Sambhaji, who was the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji and a Maratha emperor. Laxman Utekar is directing this production, which falls under the leadership of Dinesh Vijan at Maddock Films.
