Vicky Kaushal hopes to be cast opposite wifey Katrina Kaif in a film soon; 'We are waiting and...'

As a die-hard fan of Bollywood’s enigmatic couple, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, I have been longing to see them together on the silver screen. Their chemistry off-screen is palpable, but alas! Our dreams of witnessing their magic on-screen remain unfulfilled.

As an obsessed fan of Bollywood’s beloved duo, I can’t help but express my longing for seeing Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif share the silver screen together. Their off-screen chemistry has left countless hearts fluttering, yet the prospect of witnessing their magic on-screen remains hazy. Contrary to many Hollywood or Bollywood love stories that blossom between co-stars during filming and continue in subsequent projects, neither Vicky nor Katrina have followed this conventional path.

Will Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif ever star in a movie together?

More recently, during an interview with the press, Dunki actor Vicky expressed his hope that he and his wife would collaborate on a film project together soon. He added, “We’re on the lookout for the right script, but we don’t want to force it just because we’re a couple. The story should dictate our pairing for it to be enjoyable and successful. We’re patiently waiting.”

On December 9, 2021, after two years of courting each other, Vicky and Katrina exchanged vows in a grand wedding at Rajasthan’s Six Senses Fort Barwara. The exclusive event was graced by the presence of their loved ones and closest friends only.

On the work front

Recently, Katrina Kaif appeared in the film “Merry Christmas” directed by Sriram Raghavan, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi. This intriguing thriller was produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray, and Kewal Garg. The movie is an adaptation of Frédéric Dard’s French novel “Le Monte-charge,” or “Bird in a Cage.” Upon release, “Merry Christmas” received favorable critical reception but disappointing ticket sales at the box office.

Based on my knowledge and experience as a dedicated fan of Bollywood cinema, I can confidently say that the much-anticipated film “Jee Le Zara,” directed by Farhan Akhtar, is far from being shelved or put on hold. Contrary to certain rumors, Farhan recently shared with TopMob in an exclusive interview that he plans to start working on this adventure comedy right after completing the production of Don 3.

Alternatively, Vicky Kaushal is reveling in the achievement of his latest film release, Bad Newz, which surprisingly holds the record for his biggest opening. Co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles, this production by Anand Tiwari delves into the amusing depiction of heteropaternal superfecundation.

In simpler terms, “Bad Newz” is a follow-up story, with a spiritual connection, to the 2019 film “Good Newwz” directed by Raj Mehta. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. Their lives intertwine as they explore the process of in vitro fertilization together.

After seeing Vicky’s film, Katrina expressed her appreciation on Instagram by penning a heartfelt message. Her post read, “What a blast that was! The bond between the Punjabi boys brings a new dimension to bromance. Impeccable timing and chemistry at its best. @vickykaushal09, you never fail to astonish me with your natural talent and the pleasure you bring to the audience. Kudos to @amy_virk and @triptidimri, both of you were brilliant. Congratulations to @bindraa.mritpal and @karanjohar for this marvelous creation.”
