This intriguing production is being touted as ‘97% family-oriented’ and ‘3% extremely family-oriented’. In this new project, he teams up with Triptii Dimri.
It appears that director Raaj Shaandilyaa revealed Mallika Sherawat misconstrued the nature of the role offered to her for the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri. He explained that when he contacted her, she believed it was an invitation to perform a dance number. He stated, “When I called her, I thought she would think I was inviting her for a dance performance. She asked, ‘What’s this? Which song is it?’ I clarified, ‘It’s not a song; it’s a role.'” (When I called her, I assumed she would think I was asking her to perform a dance. She inquired, ‘What’s this? Which song am I singing?’ I made clear, ‘This isn’t a song; it’s a role.’)
Speaking about the decision to hire Mallika Sherawat, director Raaj shared that it was straightforward to secure her participation because she was eagerly seeking a fresh and thrilling role. He pointed out that there was no need for persuasion, as she immediately expressed her interest with an enthusiastic “Sounds good, exciting character, let’s get started!” He also highlighted that Mallika was actively searching for something captivating to reignite her passion.
In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, director Raaj Shaandilyaa clarified aspects of the upcoming film Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. He labeled it as predominantly family-friendly (97%) but also admitted that there are some over-the-top elements (3%). The movie is set in 1997, and approximately 2.5-3% of the film involves the main characters singing and dancing during their wedding.
Previously, my heart skipped a beat when Rajkummar Rao unveiled an entertaining video of us squaring off in the ‘Woh Wala Game’ for the very first time. In this hilarious footage, I found myself engrossed by my phone, oblivious to Triptii’s entrance and her playful challenge to an arm wrestling match. She even stacked some hard-earned cash on the table, hinting at high stakes. But right before we could lock horns, she swiftly swooped in and pocketed all that money, leaving me dumbfounded!
The comeback of Mallika Sherawat in the silver screen has ignited enthusiasm and curiosity among spectators.
