The movie “Vidaamuyarchi,” directed by Magizh Thirumeni with Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, and Arjun Sarja in the leading roles, has been experiencing a steady decline in ticket sales at cinemas.
Vidaamuyarchi hits another low; grosses Rs 2.50 crore on Day 7
The action thriller started off strong with a solid opening of approximately 25.50 crores, but unfortunately struggled following its initial four-day weekend of 61 crores. On its first Monday, it experienced a significant decline, collecting only about 3.50 crores. However, on the sixth day, it showed some improvement due to the semi-holiday for Thaipoosam Day and managed to collect around 3.75 crores.
According to predictions, the film saw a decrease in revenue today, earning approximately Rs 2.50 crores. The cumulative earnings at the Tamil Nadu box office for Vidaamuyarchi now total Rs 70.75 crores.
Vidaamuyarchi set to wrap its theatrical run on an average note
Despite being the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year so far, “Vidaamuyarchi” has fallen short of its anticipated earnings. As it faces competition from movies like “Kudumbasthan” and other ongoing releases, it’s likely to conclude its theatrical run below the Rs 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu, earning a BELOW AVERAGE assessment.
Fans can anticipate Ajith Kumar’s return to the big screen with a new movie, titled “Good Bad Ugly,” which is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025. The film’s performance at the box office will certainly be intriguing.
