As a fervent admirer of the artistry and compassion displayed by Vijay Varma, I find myself deeply moved by his recent plea for privacy and grace towards grieving families. His heartfelt appeal echoes my own sentiments as someone who has experienced the profound sorrow that follows the loss of a loved one.
Trigger Warning-This article contains mention of death.
Following Varun Dhawan, actor Vijay Varma spoke out against the paparazzi, urging them to respect the privacy of the bereaved family during the passing of Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta.
Actor from the IC 814 Kandahar Hijack film, recently posted on his Twitter and Instagram stories about a heartfelt message. In this message, he voiced criticism towards the paparazzi, urging them to respect the privacy of the family who are currently mourning following Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta’s sad demise.
In the tweet, Vijay Varma wrote, “Please leave the grieving family alone.. it’s not easy anyway for them. Thoda toh grace rakho media walon (Have some grace media people) (accompanied by folded hands emoji).”

On a personal note, I found myself compelled to address an issue that surfaced this past Wednesday. Actor Varun Dhawan, much like myself, took to his social media platform to express his dismay regarding paparazzi intruding upon the private moments of mourning following Malaika’s father’s passing. As a lifestyle expert, I wholeheartedly support his stance, as it is truly heartless for cameras to be shoved in the faces of those who are grieving deeply. In such sensitive times, let us all show compassion and understanding instead.
He asked for thoughtfulness when carrying out tasks, acknowledging it’s part of their role, yet reminding them that sensitive individuals may find such actions distressing. He also used the hashtag ‘#compassion’ to emphasize his message.
On Wednesday morning, Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta, sadly passed away. In the evening, the actress posted a heartfelt message on her social media accounts, speaking on behalf of her whole family.
It read, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support and respect. With gratitude, Joyce, Malaika, Amrita Shakeel, Arhaan, Azaan , Rayyan, Casper, Axl, Duffy and Buddy.”
