As a follower who has always admired Vikrant Massey for his versatility and depth as an actor, I found his recent interview particularly enlightening. His role as Rishu in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba seems to be yet another testament to his talent, and his insight into the character resonated deeply with me.
Actor Vikrant Massey is now gearing up for the premiere of his much-anticipated movie “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba” alongside Taapsee Pannu and Sunny Kaushal. In this film, he portrays the character Rishu. In a recent chat about his role, Massey reminisced about an incident where he accidentally punched an epileptic boy without realizing it. He also shared how this experience had a profound impact on him that lasted forever.
During a recent chat with Prakhar Ke Pravachan, Vikrant Massey discussed his character, Rishu. He admitted that he may identify with Rishu’s ‘tendency towards violence’ and is working to ‘restrain’ himself, implying that his violent behavior in the movie is brief.
Vikrant illustrated his perspective by describing a personal anecdote. He reminisced about the times when he practiced karate and taekwondo during his school years, enduring hostile behavior, which eventually made him feel indomitable.
As a devoted follower, I recall an incident during my school days when I unwittingly harmed another student. During recess, unaware of his condition, I struck a boy in the jaw. Moments later, he began to foam at the mouth and lost consciousness. His elder sibling swiftly intervened, delivering blows left, right, and center. This entire ordeal unfolded within seconds. The pain of being attacked by his brother didn’t register with me because I was struck with fear, believing that the boy might not survive.
Following the event, the 12th member of the Fail acting group disclosed that he gave up karate, recognizing that he had the potential to take a life. He further divulged that subsequent physical confrontations left him injured as he regrettably refrained from defending himself by not raising his hand towards anyone again.
Moving forward, when asked if it was unfortunate, the actor replied, “In fact, I’m not sure.” Vikrant confessed that he has never physically harmed anyone due to a vivid memory of the event in his mind. He explained that he got involved in some fights because of his friends, but he himself had never retaliated; as he fears the incident might recur if he were to strike back.
The long-anticipated movie titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is penned by Kanika Dhillon and helmed by Jayprad Desai. This thrilling production features Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill in significant roles. Produced by Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series Films, the film is set to debut on Netflix on August 9.
