Fan of Dungeons & Dragons and renowned action film actor collaborated on a movie blending their preferred genres, which is now set for free streaming. Released way back in 2015, this film draws inspiration from a character that Diesel himself created for his D&D game sessions, focusing on Kaulder, who successfully vanquished the all-powerful Witch Queen around 800 years ago. However, before her demise, she cast an immortality curse upon the warrior, leaving him bereft of his cherished wife and daughter in the hereafter.
The movie titled “The Last Witch Hunter” is helmed by Breck Eisner in both direction and scriptwriting, along with Cory Goodman, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless. This action-fantasy film features an impressive cast that includes Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Julie Engelbrecht, and Vin Diesel. On April 1, it will be available for streaming on a free platform. Here’s the official synopsis for more details:

In today’s world, there are many mysteries hidden, with one of the most shocking being that witches continue to exist among us. Centuries past, a valiant warrior named Kaulder (played by Vin Diesel) succeeded in killing the mighty Witch Queen, eliminating her followers in the process. Before she breathed her last, she cast a curse upon Kaulder, giving him eternal life. This curse separated him from his wife and daughter in the afterlife. Now, her resurrection poses a threat to humanity’s survival as Kaulder, the sole survivor of his kind, confronts her vengeful fury.
‘The Last Witch Hunter 2′ Is Now in the Works
Although it was released a decade ago and received poor reviews (with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 18% and disappointing box office earnings of $146.9 million), Vin Diesel has hinted at more stories for The Last Witch Hunter. In fact, the Fast and Furious star recently shared a picture on social media from the film, depicting himself with the long hair and beard of the main character, Kaulder. Alongside the image, he announced that The Last Witch Hunter 2 is currently being developed, expressing his excitement for fans to find out “where the immortal goes next.
Looking back on Thursdays… I’ve been incredibly fortunate to embody various iconic characters, some well-known and others less familiar to some of you. It was a privilege to portray an immortal character for Lionsgate, and one day I will share the reasons behind why Kaulder held such significance for me – it was a deeply impactful experience in my life, as many of you are aware. I can’t wait for you all to see where this immortal journey continues. Sending love always…
The “Fast and Furious” series, set to wrap up with “Fast and Furious 11” scheduled for release in 2026, has Vin Diesel planning a comeback of another popular character. This time, it’s the enigmatic convict and warrior Richard B. Riddick from “The Last Witch Hunter,” portrayed by Kaulder. Diesel is set to reprise his role in the upcoming sequel titled “Riddick: Furya.” The actor has hinted at grand aspirations for the future of the “Riddick “franchise, extending beyond the fourth movie. Back in September, he expressed excitement about the expanding “Riddick” universe, calling it “so cool” and “inspiring.
