Viral TikTok Shows Why You Don’t Try To Speak Wookiee At Galaxy’s Edge If You’re Not Fluent

Viral TikTok Shows Why You Don’t Try To Speak Wookiee At Galaxy’s Edge If You’re Not Fluent

As a lifelong Star Wars fanatic who’s been to Galaxy’s Edge more times than I care to admit (and my bank account would like me to forget), I can confidently say that this TikTok video of the guy attempting Chewbacca’s iconic growls is the epitome of cringe-worthy moments in a galaxy far, far away.

At Disneyland, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge stands out among all other lands. Unlike Fantasyland or Tomorrowland, which are mere aggregations of attractions sharing similar themes, Galaxy’s Edge is a fully immersive experience – it’s not just a collection of things; it’s a planet. This meticulously crafted world boasts unique architecture, authentic cuisine, and inhabitants who seem to genuinely live there. Here, guests can engage with these characters in ways that are unparalleled elsewhere. However, at times, it’s crucial for guests to be mindful of how they choose to interact, given the immersive nature of this extraordinary environment.

A TikTok is going viral that has people laughing both in the comments and in the theme park. A guy tries to interact with Chewbacca in his native language, calling out with his best Wookiee noises, but Chewie is hilariously unimpressed. Check it out.

Many folks seem to find amusement by mocking this individual and his Wookiee call, which has become quite popular. The video of a seemingly bewildered Chewbacca has spread rapidly across various platforms, garnering millions of views and thousands of comments. It appears that everyone is chuckling at Chewbacca’s response.

Hasn’t everyone at some point tried to mimic Chewbacca’s speech? It’s likely that any Star Wars enthusiast has given it a go. Some people can manage quite convincing Wookiee sounds, but others, like the individual in question, simply lack the natural ability. Regrettably, even their attempt failed to impress the actual Chewbacca.

In Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, it’s quite possible to encounter Chewbacca – a timeless Star Wars character who has made appearances across all three trilogies of movies. Initially, Galaxy’s Edge was intended to host characters only from the sequel trilogy era. However, with the introduction of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, and other characters hailing from the latest Disney+ Star Wars series, they too can now be found in this expansive land.

It’s quite remarkable how expressionless Chewbacca appears in this depiction. Typically, Disney characters wearing masks in the parks can’t convey such expressions, but the Chewbacca character on Galaxy Edge closely resembles the one from Star Wars movies, suggesting that the mask is filled with a great deal of expressiveness.

It’s likely that Chewbacca encounters many individuals barking at him while strolling through Galaxy’s Edge and engaging with visitors. To be frank, it’s more tolerable compared to the times when certain visitors believe it’s okay to seize Chewbacca.

I’m wondering how Chewbacca might react toward individuals who can imitate his Wookiee sounds more convincingly. Could we engage in a simulated dialogue with Chewie, where he responds appropriately if your Wookiee-like sounds are accurate?
