Vivek Oberoi reveals his childhood sweetheart died of cancer: 'I wasn’t interested in a serious, committed relationship'

As a dedicated follower, I deeply respect Vivek Oberoi for his courage to share his personal experiences and insights. His journey from losing his childhood sweetheart to cancer, navigating relationships, and building a successful career is truly inspiring.

Vivek Oberoi frequently discusses his personal experiences and romantic connections. In a recent disclosure, he pondered over the emotional toll of losing his childhood love to cancer, which left him wary of forming close bonds with others. He expressed, “I sought to avoid further pain and concluded that I’m better suited for casual relationships.

During an interview with India TV, actor Vivek Oberoi opened up about his preference for casual relationships in his younger days. He revealed that he had only a handful of serious girlfriends and was more engrossed in his academic pursuits and initial business endeavors, such as investing in the stock market. He also mentioned, “I made it clear I wasn’t looking for a serious, long-term relationship. This was partly because my childhood sweetheart lost her life to cancer.

In a subsequent conversation, the actor shared his preference for keeping relationships light to shield himself from additional pain. He acknowledged that while many of these connections might not have been deep, he’s been sincere when he’s felt love. “However, when I’ve felt love, I’ve given it my all. I’ve always been truthful, never deceived anyone. I’ve remained open and genuine,” Vivek emphasized.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share from my personal experience that my entrepreneurial spirit was nurtured at an early age by observing my father, Suresh Oberoi, in our family business. At the tender age of 10, I found myself tracking his perfume inventory and selling these products directly to customers on my bicycle. This hands-on experience provided me with valuable insights into the world of business and sales from an early stage in life.

By the time he turned 15, the actor revealed that he was already generating his own business concepts and delving into the stock market. At just 19 years old, he initiated a tech startup, which he eventually sold by the age of 22. This experience taught him about the opportunity to establish and sell a company, thereby providing advantages not only for investors but also for himself.

Born to the renowned actor Suresh Oberoi and Yashodhara, Vivek, got married to Priyanka, who is the daughter of Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva, on October 29, 2010. They have two lovely kids together: a son named Vivaan and their younger daughter named Ameyaa.

In terms of his acting career, Vivek Oberoi first appeared on screen in 2002 through Ram Gopal Varma’s film “Company”. More recently, he starred in the Rohit Shetty-directed series “Indian Police Force”, which made its debut on Amazon Prime Video. This production also featured Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty as co-stars with him.
