Having attended several of their live music events in the U.S., I can attest to the unique and energetic atmosphere they create. The fact that this global tour will be touching down in Europe and Dubai makes me even more excited.
Over the past few years, W Hotels has prioritized making an impact in the realm of music. By offering top-notch recording studios known as “Sound Suites” and a record label, it strives to blend luxury accommodations with the vibrant artistic world beyond its doors, championing music and positioning itself as a discerning tastemaker of fresh sounds. Now, as the brand embarks on a worldwide revamp, it highlights its hotels as dynamic cultural centers where music thrives and creativity is nurtured in harmony with local cultures.
Under the new W PRESENTS program, this luxury hotel amplifies its core values by hosting events featuring both rising and established electronic music artists. By showcasing these talented individuals, they are not only demonstrating their dedication to leading the industry but also bridging cultural gaps for travelers globally.
During its global travels, W Hotels joins forces once more with DJ and musician LP Giobbi to organize the upcoming concert lineup, much like their previous U.S. events. Explaining her curation strategy, she comments, “W PRESENTS is a tribute to musical variety, aiming to take our guests on immersive trips that reflect the unique character of each location. This series showcases local artists alongside international acts to honor the global power of music.”
Initiating the initial leg of the multi-destination tour, LP Giobbi brought along GPU Panic and Moullinex to perform at the beachside retreat affiliated with the brand in the W Algarve, Portugal. Reflecting the scenic locale, Portuguese DJs played a mix of deep electro tunes against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset. As for subsequent stops, the W Hotels have strategically planned their events to coincide with citywide celebrations, aiming to engage with local cultural communities. To kick off the Fringe Festival, Elkka will be featured at W Edinburgh. Following this, W Budapest will host Bora Uzer shortly after the city’s fashion week, and in October, Girls of the Internet will take center stage at W London. The tour concludes with a unique event in New York later in November.
