- Wanda Cinema Games partners with Nekki
- Shadow Fight 3 is re-launched in China
As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation upon hearing about the partnership between Wanda Cinema Games and Nekki, leading to the re-launch of Shadow Fight 3 in China. Having grown up in an era where gaming was considered a pastime for the nerdy and socially awkward, it’s truly heartening to see such a beloved franchise find new life in one of the world’s most populous nations.
The third installment of the widely acclaimed 3D brawler series, Shadow Fight 3, has made its comeback in the Chinese market following a new collaboration between the game’s creator, Nekki, and distributor Wanda Cinema Games.
The successful advocacy by Wanda Cinema Games for the return of Shadow Fight 3 is quite noteworthy, given that it was one of only 98 games to receive an ISBN license from China’s State Administration of Press and Publication (SAPP) last year. This comeback underscores the substantial earning potential in the Chinese gaming market, as revenues from daily active users in China are approximately ten times higher than those for the global version. This significant disparity is largely credited to Wanda Cinema Games’ localized marketing approach.
While an increase in Shadow Fight 3 earnings is undoubtedly positive for Nekki, what’s even more captivating is the opportunity this partnership presents for the Cyprus-based studio to utilize Wanda Cinema Games’ promotional tools to venture into new business opportunities using its intellectual property.
Nekki has begun working on a movie adaptation alongside their new game project, SPINE, which suggests that the Shadow Fight series could expand into an even more grandiose franchise in the future.
