  • New music videos released as well

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the latest announcements from Warframe have me thoroughly excited! The nostalgia of the ’90s is strong with this one, and I can’t help but feel like I’ve stepped into a time machine.

Fans of Warframe have been engrossed in the Koumei & Five Fates content over the past couple of weeks, with an abundance of new material added to this popular shooter game. Now, there’s even more excitement on the horizon as Digital Extremes has unveiled a sneak peek for the upcoming Warframe 1999 update.

As a passionate gamer, I’m super excited to share some thrilling news about Warframe! The next major update, titled “Warframe: 1999,” is set to drop this winter, but you don’t have to freeze until then! In fact, the studio has just rolled out a free demo today that lets us gamers get a sneak peek into a slice of the game’s upcoming storyline. So grab your Tenno suits and let’s dive right in before the full launch!

In this demonstration, you’ll journey through a slice of downtown Höllvania, navigating tricky back alleys as Arthur on his Atomicyle. The objective is a repeatable mission modeled after Exterminate challenges, where you’ll encounter the Scaldra, a fresh enemy group armed with toxic sludge weaponry. Successfully finishing the task prior to the update’s release will earn you the Protokol Longsword Skin as a reward.

If you’re craving more, the fresh gameplay trailer for Warframe: 1999 is now available, with Nine Inch Nails’ “Into the Void” providing the mood. The quest for Dr Entrati goes on, and you can preview what’s next by watching the embedded trailer below.

Beyond that point, the music continues. Previewed during TennoCon 2024, you can now stream “The Call” by Matthew Chalmers, which is the official theme for Arthur’s Atomicyle, along with Francesca Hauser. This song can be found on major streaming platforms, just like another in-game track, “Party of Your Lifetime” by boyband On-lyne, to maintain the ’90s atmosphere.

Currently, the Halloween event called Nights of Naberus in Warframe has come back, offering new cosmetic items for purchase in the Warframe Market. You can grab the haunting Lycanblight Syandana back piece and shoulder armor or transform your ship into a spooky vessel with the Charger Liset skin.

Experience the forthcoming upgrade firsthand by downloading Warframe at no cost right away. For additional details, feel free to explore Warframe’s official website from 1999.
