WATCH: Amitabh Bachchan greets fans outside Jalsa as Sunday ritual; grandson Agastya Nanda joins with folded hands

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of Indian cinema, I must say that witnessing the bond between Amitabh Bachchan and his grandson Agastya Nanda is truly heartwarming. With a career spanning over five decades and a legacy that transcends generations, Big B continues to captivate audiences not only with his exceptional acting skills but also with his humility and love for his fans.

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, widely admired in the movie world, regularly interacts with his fans every Sunday outside his residence Jalsa. This week, on August 4th, the special tradition took an even more memorable turn as Agastya Nanda, his grandson and fellow actor, joined him.

On Instagram, there’s a video where Amitabh Bachchan interacts with fans who’ve gathered outside his residence, Jalsa, to see their beloved star up close. The esteemed actor warmly greeted them with a broad grin on his countenance, and Agastya Nanda, his grandson, sweetly waited behind him.

Agastya graciously greeted his fans upon his grandfather’s request, showing respect by joining his palms and flashing a warm smile. In contrast to Big B, who opted for casual attire in a hoodie and pants, The Archies star donned a pristine white traditional garment.

As an ardent admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement as Big B himself acknowledges the extraordinary affection bestowed upon him during his “second birthday” celebration. For those unaware, August 2 holds a profound significance in the life of Amitabh Bachchan and us fans. You see, this date carries a double meaning: it was not only the day he entered this world on October 1, 1942, but also the day he was miraculously revived by doctors exactly 40 years later, following a life-threatening accident on the Coolie set. Since then, we’ve been commemorating this remarkable occasion as his second birthday.

The renowned celebrity shared on X (previously Twitter) his 5091st message, expressing gratitude towards his fans. “I send my love and greetings for the blessings you’ve showered on August 2nd … I can’t respond to each one individually … so consider this as my response … blessed (with folded hands and red heart emoji) I’ll try my best when time allows.”

One fan wrote, “Thank you so much, sir! Your love and blessings have brightened up our day. We are honored by your kind wishes and will treasure your love. Your love and blessings mean the world to us! Thank you, sir. Your kindness and generosity are a beacon of hope and inspiration to us all!”

A different fan posted a photo of BTS from the Coolie set and captioned it: “Your words are like blessings for us, and if you think our wish is good, then nothing could be better. May you continue to stay blessed, always healthy, and happy. Warm regards, Charan Sparsh”

Amitabh Bachchan was recently featured in Nag Ashwin’s film titled “Kalki” set in the year 2898 AD. In this epic science fiction movie, Big B portrayed the character of Ashwatthama. The Telugu production also included Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan and Saswata Chatterjee as part of the cast. Additionally, the 81-year-old acting legend is set to appear in an upcoming action drama titled “Vettaiyan,” alongside Rajinikanth.

In the meantime, Agastya, fresh from his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, is preparing for an upcoming film titled Ikkis. This movie is helmed by Sriram Raghavan and is being produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner.
