As a long-time League of Legends player and a dedicated fan of animated series, I must say that the release of the final trailer for Arcane’s second season left me absolutely thrilled! Having followed the journey of Vi and Jinx since their inception, it’s fascinating to see their story unfold on the screen. The civil war between Piltover and Zaun promises a gripping narrative that I can hardly wait to dive into.
The final trailer is out for the second (and last) season of Netflix’s Arcane. Based on the League of Legends world, the show follows two League of Legends champions, Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell), who also happen to be sisters.
In the finale of Arcane’s initial season, Jinx launched an assault on the council, signaling the start of a conflict. A sneak peek at the upcoming season hints at the outbreak of a civil war between the prosperous city of Piltover and the suppressed underbelly of Zaun.
Christian Linke, one of the co-creators, shared that “Arcane” serves as the foundation for our larger storytelling adventure alongside Fortiche Production, a fantastic animation studio. From the outset, when we embarked on this project, we had a clear ending in sight, which signifies that the tale of ARCANE concludes with this second season. However, “Arcane” is merely the initial chapter in the numerous stories we aim to spin within Runeterra.
Additionally, Link mentioned that the second season delves into the sinister aspects of the series’ characters. Jinx struggles with her choice, making it impossible for reconciliation between the two cities. Furthermore, the upcoming season will present some fresh figures hailing from the League of Legends universe.
The title of the trailer is “Come Play,” which is a song featured on the series’ soundtrack by musical groups Stray Kids, Young Miko, and Tom Morello.
The upcoming season of Arcane is set to premiere in a three-part series on November 9th, 16th, and 23rd. You can catch the official trailer right here!
