As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that I, Vedang Raina, am set to grace the screen alongside Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film Jigra. Not only will I be bringing my acting talents to life, but I’ve also had the privilege of lending my voice to a breathtaking rendition of the timeless song Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka for this very same movie. The response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
On September 10th, Vedang Raina posted a video on Instagram that traced his singing journey from childhood, accompanied by a guitar. The video montage included brief clips of him singing at various points in his life, each time holding a guitar. The concluding clip showcased him performing a cover of the timeless song “Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka,” which will be featured in his upcoming movie titled “Jigra.
In the description beneath the video, Vedang Raina mused about how his younger self would have been ecstatic about this particular moment. He expressed appreciation towards director Vasan Bala for persuading him to bring his guitar to the studio, not fully understanding its significance at the time, and to composer Achint Thakkar for granting him the opportunity to perform his own compositions, suggesting that there’s more to come. Furthermore, he acknowledged Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, and everyone who had faith in him.
He also mentioned, “It’s hard to accept that I was given the chance to perform a version of one of the most famous songs in Hindi cinema for a @dharmamovies production.” Additionally, he showed gratitude for the positive feedback his rendition of ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka’ and the Jigra teaser have received. Lastly, he reminded fans that the movie Jigra will be released in theaters on October 11th.
To deepen the emotional impact of the Jigra teaser, we chose the timeless song “Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka.” This iconic track was originally created by the legendary RD Burman, featuring Kishore Kumar’s voice and lyrics written by both RD Burman and Anand Bakshi. For our film, it has been reimagined with a modern twist. The new arrangement was designed by Achint, with Vedang Raina singing the lead, and additional lyrics penned by Varun Grover.
