In a recent conversation, he disclosed one of the strangest and most challenging acts he undertook for a movie: he abstained from bathing for nearly 12 consecutive days. This bizarre yet deliberate choice, Aamir clarified, was essential in helping him truly embody a character who resided on the streets.

During an interview with ABP News, Aamir Khan acknowledged and verified a persistent speculation about him going without bathing for twelve consecutive days while working on a movie. He clarified that this unusual practice wasn’t limited to a single instance, but rather happened on two different occasions.

In the process of shooting Raakh, he purposely skipped taking baths to convincingly depict a street-dwelling character whose life he left behind at home.

Apart from what he had already mentioned, Aamir also brought up a comparable incident from his 1998 movie, Ghulam. In this case, as the final act unfolded with its high-energy action, his on-screen character suffered several wounds that only grew more severe over time.

Instead of taking a bath every day, he decided to go without washing for a week to keep up visual consistency and ensure his appearance didn’t seem overly fresh between scenes. He stressed that daily bathing would have compromised the authenticity he was striving to achieve in portraying the character’s overall look and feel.

In terms of his career, Aamir Khan is preparing for the upcoming film titled “Sitaare Zameen Par.” This project will feature him acting alongside Darsheel Safary and Genelia D’Souza on screen.

The poster additionally includes significant images like stars, a race track, and a basketball hoop, all of which underscore the movie’s lively vibe. Its tagline, “Everyone’s Own Normal,” hints at a tale centered around self-expression and diversity.

In a previous conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Khan shared details about his upcoming movie titled Sitaare Zameen Par. He characterized it as an uplifting tale. Remarkably different from his previous film Taare Zameen Par, which moved viewers to tears, this fresh venture adopts a more humorous tone, intending to inspire smiles and giggles among its audience.

The movie is being helmed by director R.S. Prasanna, with a screenplay penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma. Co-production duties are handled by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, under the label of Aamir Khan Productions.
