When Aamir Khan's text to Junaid Khan's Maharaj co-star Shalini Pandey left her stunned; Actress recalls hilarious incident

As a lifestyle expert who has had the privilege of observing and interacting with numerous stars from Bollywood over the years, I must say that Aamir Khan’s humble and jovial nature stands out among his peers. The recent anecdote shared by Shalini Pandey about their text conversation is a perfect example of his endearing personality.

Aamir Khan is well-known as one of Bollywood’s top Khans, thanks to his long list of successful films. The industry admires him for his commitment and effort, but those in the know also appreciate his cheerful personality. Lately, Shalini Pandey, who gained attention for her role in Maharaj, shared a light-hearted story about her text exchange with Junaid Khan’s father.

Many of us know actress Shalini Pandey best as Kishori from Siddharth P. Malhotra’s historical drama Maharaj. In a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, she shared the messages she exchanged with her co-star Junaid Khan’s father, Aamir Khan.

Discussing an amusing incident, she shared that her plan was to join Maharaj’s success celebration with her friend Junaid. However, on that very day, she received a query from an unidentified person asking if she would be going to the event. Before replying, she requested this individual to reveal their identity first. To her surprise, the person introduced himself as ‘Junaid’s father.’

At that moment, the actress from Arjun Reddy didn’t recognize him, so she asked, “Who is Junaid’s father?” Realizing her mistake moments later, it was Aamir Khan. Before he could correct her, she had already responded and he identified himself. Feeling awkward about her question, Shalini apologized to the seasoned actor. Unfazed by this, Aamir Khan started laughing and clarified, “Indeed, I am your uncle; I am Junaid’s father.” Later, Pandey explained that she had momentarily forgotten who Junaid’s dad was when she asked her question.

Let me refresh your thoughts: Maharaj was the one who launched Junaid into his acting career within the industry. Alongside him, Shalini, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sharvari are also part of the cast. The story is based on the real-life Maharaj Libel Case of 1862, as portrayed in Saurabh Shah’s book.

Simultaneously in her professional life, Shalini Pandey appeared alongside Ranveer Singh, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah in the 2022 comedy-drama film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. At present, she is engrossed in filming her upcoming Tamil language movie titled Idly Kadai, where she works with actors Dhanush and Nithya Menen.
