As a seasoned gamer who has been following Marvel Rivals since its beta phase, I must say that the anticipation for Season 1 is palpable, especially with the rumors swirling about the Fantastic Four joining the fray. With a life-long love for Marvel comics and a penchant for competitive gaming, the prospect of playing as Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing in an immersive battle arena is truly exhilarating.
Leaks have been dropping left and right, hinting at the characters’ abilities and roles within the game, making it even more challenging to keep calm while waiting for official announcements from NetEase. The latest banner leak featuring the entire team, the Fantasticar, and the Baxter Building has only fueled my excitement.
If the rumors hold true, the arrival of Marvel’s First Family could potentially shake up the current meta, as they seem poised to be a well-balanced team with two Duelists (Reed Richards and Johnny Storm), a Vanguard (the Thing), and possibly a Strategist for Sue Storm.
While some fans speculate that the Fantastic Four should debut alongside the upcoming summer movie, I believe Marvel would benefit from prolonging the hype throughout the year, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the story arc of these iconic characters as we eagerly await the film’s trailer.
With Doctor Doom still dominating Season 0, the arrival of Reed Richards and his archnemesis will surely bring a new level of excitement to Marvel Rivals. I can only hope that this dynamic rivalry translates into an epic story arc for the game.
In the meantime, I’ll be rewatching my old Fantastic Four cartoons, reminding myself why they are one of my favorite teams in the Marvel Universe, and eagerly awaiting the official release date for Season 1 and the Fantastic Four – because let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good joke at Doom’s expense? Maybe we’ll finally get to see him trip over a banana peel or something.
At present, Marvel Rivals is conducting trials with Season 0, while Season 1 officially commences towards the end of this month.
Unconfirmed reports circulate about potential changes for characters Johnny Storm and Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four, though nothing has been verified yet. A recently leaked banner hints at glimpses of Sue Storm and Ben Grimm as well. Additionally, there might be some fresh insights on the anticipated release date for Marvel’s First Family in the game.
Fantastic Four in Season One?
Based on information from @RivalsLeaks, it seems highly probable that the Fantastic Four will make their appearance in Marvel Rivals as soon as Season 1. Check out this banner featuring the entire team, their vehicle – the Fantasticar, their base – the Baxter Building, and the iconic Kirby:

As someone who has been following the gaming industry for quite some time now, I must say that I find it quite intriguing to hear about potential early releases of certain characters in the upcoming NetEase game. Although we haven’t received any official word yet, the leaks about Mr. Fantastic and the Human Torch have certainly piqued my curiosity. Given my past experiences with game development and release cycles, I wouldn’t be surprised if these characters are already well into development.
It’s always exciting to speculate about new content in a highly anticipated game like this one, especially when it comes to iconic characters such as the Invisible Woman and the Thing. However, I do urge caution, as we should all take leaks with a grain of salt until NetEase confirms anything officially.
All in all, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation as we wait for more information about this potential early release. As a fan, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of playing as these beloved Marvel characters!
Marvel’s First Family
For some time now, there have been issues concerning leaks about the abilities of Reed Richards and Johnny Storm. Developers have hinted that they will both assume the role of Duelists in the game. As for Sue Storm and Ben Grimm, no details have been shared yet, but it’s quite clear that The Thing is destined to be a Vanguard character.
Having spent countless hours engrossed in the captivating world of comic books and video games, I can confidently share my thoughts on the intriguing character known as The Invisible Woman. As a longtime fan who has followed her journey through various storylines, I am eager to see how she will be integrated into the game. While she is undeniably skilled in hand-to-hand combat, some speculate that her role within the team might extend beyond Dueling.
Personally, I believe she could excel as a Strategist, utilizing her intelligence and resourcefulness to outmaneuver opponents. This strategy-focused approach would complement the diverse abilities of her teammates while maintaining balance within the group. The addition of two more characters from the comics as supporting roles would undoubtedly add an exciting twist to the game, offering fans a delightful crossover experience.
With the Four already boasting a well-rounded skillset, this expansion would not only enrich their story but also cater to the craving for fresh content among players. I eagerly await the official announcement and can’t wait to see how The Invisible Woman will contribute to the team dynamics and gameplay.
Instead of only releasing the Fantastic Four during the summer, coinciding with the new movie launch, it might be more effective for Marvel to generate excitement about the team throughout the entire year. This way, fans will be eagerly anticipating the film when the trailer is finally unveiled in a few months’ time.
Doomsday
Introducing Reed Richards, Doctor Doom’s longtime adversary from the comics, into the game could be a logical move given that Doctor Doom is a central figure in Season 0. While it’s undetermined if the Four’s appearance will vanquish Doom in this season, it certainly provides an excellent chance for the creators to develop the rivalry between these characters. This way, even those less familiar with Marvel lore can look forward to witnessing their live-action confrontation when “First Steps” hits theatres in July.
For now, it seems that Doom remains undefeated within the Marvel Rivals storyline. Many anticipate an extensive plot development with the introduction of the Fantastic Four in the game.
The Fantastic Four’s debut date hasn’t been announced yet, but starting from January 10th, you can dive into Season 1 of Marvel Rivals. As for now, Marvel Rivals is available to play on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5 platforms.
