In the year 2022, during an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2 to promote his film Attack: Part 1, John regaled the audience with a humorous story. He recounted an incident that occurred following a football match, when he found himself at a Gujarati restaurant offering unlimited food. Eager to get the most value for his money, and since the chapatis were small in size, John playfully consumed a total of 64 of them.

The actor remembered when the waiter informed him that he was allowed to eat rice as well. However, since he still wasn’t full, he requested the waiter to bring him additional chapatis. John mentioned that after consuming all the chapatis he desired, he eventually had some rice too and thoroughly appreciated his meal.

In February 2025, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, John shared his views on fitness. He mentioned that self-care is his belief system and emphasized the importance of taking care of one’s body. “Your body is your sanctuary, it requires attention,” he said, clarifying that this isn’t driven by vanity but a desire to maintain a state of transformation as much as possible, with occasional deviations. He enjoys taking care of himself and doesn’t seek physical perfection for the sake of films or appearances. If he achieves it, well and good; if not, he’s content either way.

At present, John Abraham’s recent appearance was in the movie “The Diplomat,” released on March 14, 2025, which garnered a favorable response from viewers. This film was helmed by director Shivam Nair and boasted performances from Sadia Khateeb, Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi, among others in significant roles.

John’s upcoming projects include a political thriller set in Tehran, where he co-stars with Manushi Chhillar. Additionally, he is working on Rohit Shetty’s new movie, focusing on the life of ex-Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. In an exclusive conversation with TopMob, John has confirmed his involvement in this project with Rohit. According to a Mid-Day report, filming for this movie will commence in the latter half of 2025 at Esel Studio in Trombay. The production is expected to last four months, concluding by June.
