As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood-style dynamics, I find the journey of Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan to be a heartwarming tale of love, acceptance, and growth. Their story is a testament to the fact that even the most awkward first impressions can blossom into beautiful relationships, given time and mutual respect.
In the world of Bollywood, Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan are often seen as an enchanting couple, despite their diverse origins. Through shared love and devotion, they’ve found contentment together. In a recent chat, Kunal shared an amusing story about his initial encounter with his future mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore. He admitted it was awkward because he hadn’t had time to change and ended up saying hello to her while wearing a bathrobe. However, over the course of time, they cultivated a strong bond, with Kunal eventually becoming close to this esteemed actress.
On a recent episode of In the Ring with Filmfare, the star of Lootcase shared some personal anecdotes from his life that were previously unknown. One of these stories included Kemmu admitting that it took him some time to become comfortable around Sharmila Tagore, his wife’s mother and a renowned actress, as their early encounters left him feeling anxious.
In my fangirl moments, let me recount an unforgettable encounter I once had with the legendary actress, back when I shared the screen with my beloved wife in our 2009 film, “99”. However, when we were reacquainted as Soha’s boyfriend, the situation was rather unexpected. You see, I was caught off guard and found myself in a bathrobe because I had just been informed of her arrival on set with no prior warning to dress up. Needless to say, I felt a bit flustered and out of my comfort zone during that encounter.
He mentioned that his initial encounter with Soha took place during their dating phase. Prior to this, they had met on the set of 99 while filming at a hotel. At that time, he was only wearing a bathrobe since he wasn’t dressed otherwise. Sharmila Tagore was arriving, and he hadn’t had an opportunity to change clothes, which made him quite uneasy during their meeting, as he had to greet her in his costume and ask how she was doing.
In the end, Kunal encountered the actress from Gulmohar’s residence. She was leisurely perusing a magazine, and being Soha’s mother, she showed interest in learning about the actor. Thus, she immediately started posing questions to Kunal regarding his job, past, and other matters. This situation made the Malang actor feel uneasy as he couldn’t discern her thoughts. As a result, he perceived the encounter as being more like a job interview than a casual family gathering.
As they spent more time together, they grew accustomed to each other’s presence and started to maintain frequent visual connections. Moreover, shared hobbies like cooking have been instrumental in strengthening their bond.
For those unfamiliar, Kunal got married to Soha on January 25, 2015. They welcomed their daughter Inaaya Kemmu into the world in 2017. The actor frequently shares photos of his family trips and gatherings, highlighting how their bond has grown stronger through the years.
