When Salman Khan hilariously reacted to fan wanting him to play lead role in Dhoom 4; here's what he said

As a seasoned lifestyle expert with extensive knowledge of the Indian film industry, I must say that it’s fascinating to see the evolution and dynamics of Bollywood stardom. Salman Khan, a veteran actor, has always managed to keep his fans engaged with his wit and humor, as evident in his recent interaction about Dhoom 4.

Over an almost four-decade career, Salman Khan has risen to become one of the most beloved superstars in Hindi films. At one point, there were discussions about him appearing in the upcoming YRF production, but that was before Ranbir Kapoor was cast as the lead in Dhoom 4. Back then, when asked about starring in Dhoom 4, Salman humorously stated that none of the other Dhoom villains could catch him up.

During an interview on Aap Ki Adalat, a fan (female) voiced her desire for Salman Khan to star as the main character in Dhoom 4. Salman replied that he’d be open to the opportunity if it were to happen within a Yash Raj Films production. In a playful manner, the superstar also provided a humorous outline of what Dhoom 4 might look like.

Talking about his hilarious version, Salman stated that a new villain has been introduced in the Dhoom franchise and Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra won’t be able to catch him.

The star of Bajrangi Bhaijaan stated that they recruited all the past villains from the Dhoom series, including John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and both Amirs (Khan), yet they cannot capture me. Instead, I manage to outsmart them all and slip away.

Previously, our exclusive information revealed that Ranbir Kapoor has been selected to portray the villain in Dhoom 4. A source close to the production process shared with us that producer Aditya Chopra believes that Ranbir is the perfect fit to continue the Dhoom series’ legacy.

Ranbir has been in talks about Dhoom 4 for quite some time now. Upon learning the initial concept, he expressed enthusiasm to join the project, and it’s officially confirmed that he will spearhead the series,” the source revealed.

It’s important to mention that the main actors from the first Dhoom movie won’t be part of Dhoom 4. Instead, it appears that two popular young stars are going to join the team, taking on the roles of the cop duo in this upcoming film.

At this moment, there’s no set director for Dhoom 4. However, YRF (Yash Raj Films) intends to finalize the filmmaker around mid-2025. Once chosen, the director will embark on a reconnaissance trip and pre-production work with the Dhoom 4 team. It’s anticipated that Dhoom 4 will start filming by the end of 2025 or early 2026.

To put it simply, the first movie in the Dhoom series introduced us to main characters like Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, and Rimi Sen. In that 2004 film, John Abraham took on the role of the villain.

In 2006, the second part of the Dhoom series, titled Dhoom 2, hit the screens. The original actors Abhishek, Uday, and Rimi returned for this sequel. New faces Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai joined the franchise as well. Hrithik Roshan took on the antagonist’s role in it. Moving forward to the third installment, Dhoom 3, the main stars Abhishek and Uday were back, with Katrina Kaif joining them in a pivotal role. Interestingly, Aamir Khan played not one but two villainous characters in this part of the series.

Speaking about Salman Khan once more, this renowned actor was last visible in Tiger 3, which premiered in 2023. Now, you can catch him in the directorial project of AR Murugadoss titled Sikandar. This upcoming movie features Rashmika Mandanna and Prateik Babbar along with Salman. The film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Sikandar is scheduled to hit the screens on Eid 2025.

Salman also has a cameo in Varun Dhawan’s Baby John this year.
