They teamed up both on-screen and off-screen in the film Dear Zindagi, as well as co-producing films together. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, when asked to match certain roles with actors, the actor pondered over the first title ‘ethereal beauty.’ After considering different options, he eventually chose Alia Bhatt.
The actors first shared screen space in the film Dear Zindagi, and their chemistry became a highlight. Later, Alia Bhatt made a cameo in SRK’s 2018 film Zero. Again, SRK made a special appearance in Alia and Ranbir’s Brahmastra Part 1 Shiva. Moreover, King Khan, who usually doesn’t co-produce films, agreed to do it only with the actress for her 2022 film Darlings.
Besides working together, this duo also graced an episode on Koffee with Karan during season 5. In the chat, the renowned star praised the actress from Raazi, stating that she belongs to one of the most talented acting generations.
Speaking highly of Alia, SRK expressed, “Alia is exceptionally talented for her age, but I hope she doesn’t limit herself by only delivering excellent performances. I want her to explore various aspects of Indian cinema. If one excels too quickly, they might develop apprehensions about being less skilled at times. It’s truly refreshing to be less than perfect on occasion.
Besides Alia, Shah Rukh was questioned about who is ‘a friend’s best friend,’ to which he promptly named Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. At the same time, Deepika Padukone could be likened to a box of challenges, while Kareena Kapoor Khan could be described as chatty or talkative.
In terms of upcoming projects, Alia Bhatt, who has been praised for her recent release Jigra, will appear next in Alpha alongside Sharvari. Conversely, Shah Rukh Khan is currently involved in Sujoy Ghosh’s highly anticipated film King. This action-packed movie will feature SRK acting alongside his daughter Suhana.
